Support Specialist-SAP

Irvine, CA

Compensation: $80-95K

SUMMARY

Our client, a global leader in design and manufacturing of medical devices, is looking for a Support Specialist-SAP. The ideal candidate will have a mix of desk/support role and act as a liaison between global internal users and provide excellent customer service with strong SAP experience.

If you have over 3 years of experience supporting infrastructure applications, knowledge of repetitive manufacturing processes, the ability to multi-task with a flexible schedule in order to meet changing business needs and have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, please contact us.

Support Specialist-SAP Responsibilities:

• Analyze and trouble-shoot issues on accounts, transactions, and questions on EDI workflow and processes
• Manage and monitor EDI production system
• Maintain customer requirement in ERP system
• Retrieve archived data
• Verify EDI conversion and create change request
• Test new partners or transactions
• Create or update mapping specs for EDI supplier and contact partners of EDI rejection errors
• Manage and maintain documentation of EDI up to date
• Maintain reports and queries for end-users on EDI status and statistics
• Conduct level 2 support analysis of issues and problem solving
• Follow up user tickets, request or calls and Application Maintenance Services
• Coordinate and organize key user networks

  Support Specialist-SAP Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems or Computer Science
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a SAP supporting role
• Supporting infrastructure applications
• Knowledge of repetitive manufacturing process
• Knowledge of SAP ECC logistics module, EWM, MM or focus on SD
• Configuration of SAP EDO
• Experience of EDI standards X12/EDFACT/VDA, message sets, EDI message, mapping and integration with SAP
• Knowledge of EDI/IDOC data formats
