JOB SUMMARY
Works with the sales organization to cultivate new opportunities, sign up new customers and grow business with existing accounts.  Drive technical solution strategy, perform technology evaluations, architect innovative solutions, and overcome technical obstacles to win deals.

Works closely with the business and technology communities to accurately present the company’s solutions and services to customers.

Works with IT resources within the Enterprise Applications (such as SAP, Red Prairie, OTM, etc.), Infrastructure and IT Operational Services departments.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works very closely with the business and IT communities, collaboratively driving innovative, scalable and cost-competitive IT business solutions.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the development of IT Supply Chain solutions, validating assumptions and requirements to ensure the IT solution meets customer requirements.
  • Works with Neovia’s commercial team to identify and understand client IT requirements for new business proposals
  • Translates system requirements into standardized best practices for workable IT solutions.
  • Provides high level specifications and direction to members of the IT technical staff.
  • Involved in the identification and evaluation of new solution opportunities to address customer needs.
  • Accountable for systems process analysis, design and simulation at the most complex level, with focus on process and quality improvement.
  • Understands customer’s business and technical requirements and craft an overall solution vision demonstrating Neovia fit and value for customer’s requirements.
  • Positions solutions to best address new and existing customers’ needs.
  • Develops and delivers compelling demonstrations of Neovia’s software and related applications, demonstrating the business value of the product’s capabilities
  • Provides in-depth technical knowledge and development expertise during the complete Sales Process
  • Presents and articulates technical concepts through demonstration of Neovia solutions
  • Manages technical follow-up, meetings, proposal and internal account planning through the sales cycle.
  • Works closely with sales team, providing technical expertise, to develop account planning strategy.
  • Drives the technical deal signoff process with Sales, Product Solutions and Engineering.
  • Provides feedback to Product Solutions and Engineering on improving existing products and developing new products.
  • Provides technical support in sales calls, solution presentations, and assist the Client Executive with understanding customer requirements
  • Provides input for RFI and RFP responses, including the effort estimate, project team, timeline, implementation methodology and solution components
  • Leads and facilitates discovery and scoping sessions with clients
  • Anticipates customer needs and identify appropriate solution alternatives.
  • Incorporates past experience, business savvy, creative and out-of-the-box thinking in designing solutions; offer multiple, potential solutions
  • Provides architectural oversight of the solution throughout the project
  • Contributes to estimating and SOW templates
  • Understands client business process and potential constraints (budget, timeline, expertise, etc.) to define optimal and reasonable project scope and level-of-effort estimates to implement those
  • Responds to customer questions and objections on technical issues.
  • Delivers excellent services sales presentations to the customer in support of the sales process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Typically, minimum of 5+ years of experience supporting SAP WM / SCE warehouses processes in similar environment
  • 3+ years of field or technical sales experience in enterprise software.
  • Must have experience in presenting SAP technical solutions to customers.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an Logistics consultant or functional team member specializing in the following modules (MM, LE, WM, SD, PP, PM, QM)
  • 2+ full lifecycle implementation projects as a MM, WM, PP, PM, QM functional/configuration team member.
  • 2+ full lifecycle upgrade projects as a MM, WM, PP, PM, or QM, functional /configuration team member.
  • 3+ years as a SAP Project Manager
  • Solid SAP WM and MM Configuration experience required
  • Implementation experience including setup and configuration of warehousing processes including inbound logistics, delivery processes, outbound logistics, Inventory Management, Production supply and radio frequency usage
  • Organizational units and master data in the Warehouse Management system
  • Warehouse Management interfaces with other SAP modules like Inventory Management, Production Planning, Quality Management and Sales/Distribution
  • Any SAP certification is a must
  • ABAP development and/or debugging skills a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP EWM is a plus
  • S4/HANA knowledge a plus
  • Working knowledge of technical infrastructure landscape, architecture and methodologies is a plus
  • Enterprise Application Integration skills (middleware, communication protocols, EDI, etc.) is a plus
  • Proven ability to solve problems based on researching and analyzing information
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop creative solutions to support business strategies
  • Candidates must have demonstrable leadership capabilities
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of assignments
  • Very strong analytical approach to problem solving and solution development
  • Must be able to collaborate with others, communicate clearly and have a strong attention to detail
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • Approximately 30% travel required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting item weighing up to 15 pounds.

Neovia Logistics is looking for a highly skilled SAP Senior Sales Engineer that has a strong Functional background in SAP Sales and Distribution, Logistics Execution (LE) and Supply Chain Management (SCM).  You will work with the sales organization to cultivate new opportunities, sign up new customers and grow business with existing accounts.  You will drive technical solution strategy, perform technology evaluations, architect innovative solutions, and overcome technical obstacles to win deals.

We are looking for a Sales Engineer who is a team player, technical advisor, and relationship builder.  Candidates selected for this position will provide SAP expertise to Neovia Sales teams and will perform detailed analysis of complex business requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate, and document business customer requirements.

As a Sales Engineer with Neovia Logistics, you will work closely with the business and technology communities to accurately present the company’s solutions and services to customers.

This position requires a moderately seasoned pre-sales professional with solid technical and functional SAP skills. Candidates must have good communication skills and enterprise software pre-sales experience. This position could require up to 25-30% travel to customer sites.
