JOB SUMMARY:

To lead the SAP sub-function and enable PAI to effectively leverage SAP for its various business needs. To manage internal SAP resources and act as a liaison with SAP support partner, in providing timely support to business needs, including integrations and analytics with SAP.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide technical and functional expertise in SAP to solve business challenges across planning, production, procurement, sales and distribution, quality, financial accounting, etc
* Partner with business functions to get feedback on SAP usage, analyze business processes, recommend and implement best practices
* Determine and carve out SAP projects to further meet user needs
* Develop functional specifications for all development activities including interfaces, enhancements, reports, and conversions
* Determine training needs and conduct periodic SAP refreshers to help users maximize their usage of SAP features that support business. Participate in the development of system user manuals (BPPs) and end user training
* Stay current with the new features in SAP, and work with SAP services to manage our Rise cloud platform, keeping up to date with patches.
* Interface with business functions and the IT / SAP resources to ensure that integrations and reporting work properly.
* Implement projects on time and within budget, while managing and mitigating risks
* Work with business leads across functions to ensure they drive adoption and usage of SAP
* Ensure SAP solutions follow strict adherence to Pharmaceutical cGMP standards and Generally Accepted Accounting principles
* Budget and track actuals for all SAP-related costs, including software/ cloud services, support services and anxillary systems like Process Weaver, etc.
* Partner with other IT resources on integration with serialization, EDI, contracts software, quality systems, and other systems.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelors' degree in Information Systems or Computer Science field(s) and 10+ years of work experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 8 years of experience in SAP, with 2 or more full scale SAP implementation experience, 5+ years experience in leading functional support required, with supervisory experience.

Technical knowledge - SAP modules knowledge in SD/ MM, FICO, WM, serialization, systems validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), knowledge of integrations with LIMS, Document management, EDI, PowerBI and other systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

This position requires the individual be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. Standard office equipment is used.
