Patterson Companies is going through an exciting period of change driven by the evolution of our SAP Systems and strategic business initiatives.  We have an exciting opportunity on our SAP Enterprise Business Services team. Processes and technology will require employees to learn new skills and capabilities and we are currently seeking an analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative SAP Functional Analyst.  This role includes a technology and business process focus.

As part of your role, you will work as part of the Functional IT team to develop an in-depth understanding of the Patterson SAP System, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, project management, system configuration and user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, create and document business process and related SAP system design Procure to Pay and Demand to Supply solutions.

  • Lead complex business requirement discussions. Gather, evaluate and document business needs and requirements and translate these into functional specifications.

  • Participates in project and design reviews to evaluate and ensure that the design being applied meets Patterson design policies, principles, and standards.

  • Responsible to drive changes and enhancements through the change management process, including project management, communication with stakeholders, users and developers, performing functional unit tests, coordinating user acceptance testing, cutover tasks and ongoing support.

  • Support project assessments & initiation by articulating scope, risks and estimates.

  • Responsible for design and configuration of SAP procure to pay (MM and Supply Chain Mgmt.) processes in SAP including Consumption Based Planning and MRP.

  • Work with other functional teams to ensure components work together to meet the operational, integration, quality and performance goals of the solution.

  • Lead overall issue resolution in Procure to Pay including performing diagnostics, resolving technical integration and performance issues.

  • Work with end users on issues that they are experiencing, including troubleshooting, analysis, and issue replication in a non-production environment.

  • Take ownership of issues and problems in SAP in your assigned areas; troubleshoot, propose solutions, work to confirm solutions, implement and unit test.

  • Participate in integration test cycles as a tester; learn how to use the testing tool for script maintenance and recording results.

  • Lead efforts within your business stream as well as across business streams to design/support the end-to-end business process and to ensure that SAP changes in your area have the desired down-stream impacts.

  • Lead project efforts within your area of expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Supply Chain, preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of SAP experience with expert knowledge in SAP Materials Management (MM), warehouse (WM) and inventory management (IM)

  • S/4HANA experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships with all levels within the organization.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and task follow-up skills in a fast-paced and changing environment. Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines.

  • Willingness to work extended hours that may be required to meet project deadlines.

  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues as required.

  • Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and deliver result.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior level management and key stakeholders.

  • Experience with project planning preferred.

  • Experience working with business software modules (Supply/Demand Planning, Inventory Management)

This position requires minimal travel (10%)  in a national area.

For this position being on-call is required.

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.The potential compensation range for this role is below.
