Description
General Description: The Sr.
Manager, SAP Center of Excellence is directly responsible for helping to
establish, maintain, and execute the enterprise information security vision,
strategy and program to ensure information assets are protected. The position impacts all areas of the
organization, and the ability to influence indirect reports such as peers,
functional personnel and leadership is paramount. Understanding that security is never an
absolute, the position is primarily responsible for working with Information
Technology and other functional leadership to assess the organization’s
appetite for risk in each area and to recommend and execute projects and
investments that address that level of risk.
SAP Operations
- Supports and leads initiatives
that require significant cross functional teamwork. Handles program definition,
resourcing, issue escalation, budget, risk management and delivery. - Responsible SAP
application support across all modules/functional areas. - Demonstrates solid
process knowledge of the chemical manufacturing industry which can be leveraged
in leading SAP programs at SI Group. - Possesses extensive
business, technical, and procedural knowledge to oversee overall standards and
procedures of a business analyst and application development team. - Provides technical
leadership and mentorship on software development tools, technology and Agile
development methodologies. - Possesses a deep and
comprehensive understanding of the applications functional and non-functional
requirements. - Executes on continuous
improvement of the existing software applications and architecture. Ensures
quality work consistently. - Partner with other
IT functions and Global business leaders to ensure proper focus on business requirements. - Leads
projects, programs, portfolios across platforms as needed including ensuring
current health of platforms as aligned to software vendors’ roadmaps - Owns
delivery for all major SAP applications and platforms, ensuring an effective
service performance both external and internal. - Able to establish
roadmap and strategy for SAP application platform
People Leadership
- Drive the vision, daily
operation and support of the Application Services Team, comprised of internal
IT and external resource management. - Directs, guides, and
manages the SAP team and other Application leads to provide technical oversight
to ensure business requirements are met, monitors project plans, manages
budgets, aligns resources, and projects delivery. - Perform the people
management functions for the team:
Performance reviews, talent management, employee training and
development, etc. - Continually evaluate
the Enterprise Application Services structure and people to improve
productivity and effectiveness. Create
and maintain an atmosphere that is stimulating and motivating to the team. - Manage departmental human resources to ensure they
remain appropriately trained, motivated, and effectively utilized. - Set group priorities and manage resources to ensure global initiatives
are fully supported
General
- Must have experience in
establishing and maintaining collaboration with business functional leaders
such as commercial, supply chain, finance, manufacturing, regulatory and legal. - Support and promote the
integration and standardization of business systems and processes. - Other duties and
responsibilities as assigned by Manager. - Basic understanding of
GRC and Security.
