Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

SAP system landscape and architecture design. This will provide a good, long-term business solution utilizing the SAP software components in an efficient and meaningful manner.

SAP system installation / upgrade / patch application. Install and upgrade SAP applications as needed by the business.

SAP system problem resolution. Individuals in this position are called upon to help resolve problems in several functional areas in the SAP system.

Support SAPs end-to-end application lifecycle management solutionSolution Manager.

Support for SAP ABAP and J2EE environments. ABB has SAP systems that are made up of both ABAP and J2EE environments. Administration of both environments is within the scope of this position.

Support for third party product integration with SAP. This includes connectivity support for business systems such as: Vertex, iXOS Archiving, and others as deemed necessary to support the business.

Support business expectations and requirements regarding computer system availability and performance. Additionally, this position contributes to ensuring that systems perform within stated performance metrics. These include Uptime and Dialog Response Time.

Work with IT Application Developers and Business Process Owners to estimate the effort required to develop and support IT solutions and services.

Perform various RBC business analysis to support decisions regarding IT solutions.

Assist in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IT systems and services.

Serve as an expert in SAP Security solutions and GRC Access Controls by assisting with ongoing operations and/or develop new software and processes.

Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information residing in the SAP Systems.

Administer SAP User Accounts, assigning appropriate levels of authority. This includes production support, testing, and user training.

Analyze and develop security authorizations (roles) in an organized manner based upon the individuals job or position.

Assess, develop, and implement external system access to SAP systems.

Support auditors with the development of internal control procedures.

Monitor and enforce user access policies to ensure compliance to internal control procedures and segregation of duties policies.

Provide general non-security related SAP Administration technical support as needed.

Support the migration effort of the legacy ABB SAP ECC system to the new RBC landscape. Work with multiple internal and external teams (ABB, RBC, IBM, SAP, 3rd party SLO service providers).

Support future migration to SAPs S4 / HANA platform.
Knowledge / Experience / Skills:

Good business judgment.

Ability to plan, coordinate, and set priorities.

Ability to participate in after-hours, on-call rotation.

Ability to work at night and on weekends.

Experience in system administration of large enterprise systems.

Must have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Fluency in spoken and written English.
Education:
A bachelors degree required in Computer Science is highly desired. Will also consider those with corresponding experience in Information Technology, or a related field of study.
