A multinational manufacturing company has an immediate need for MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

The MDM Specialist is expected to work closely with the Finance, Business, IT and National Performance Teams in order to establish data governance policies and procedures, ensure data quality, and compliance. Previous knowledge of master data management is required. SAP S4/Hana, Construction business experience preferred. This position will work as part of an international and multi-disciplinary team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The MDM Specialist will be accountable for gathering information requirements and working with the business to define and document standards and rules to ensure master data is compliant with defined information, policies, and quality requirements as defined by the data owner in conjunction with the data management organization.

[Symbol] Understand the requirements of master data and the relationship with upstream/downstream applications within SAP.

Execute changes to SAP master data (e.g. customer, vendor, materials etc.) as approved by the business
Coordinate master data setup, validations and periodic maintenance

Participate in projects and initiatives across multiple functional areas and regions

Work with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues

Ensure data quality, compliance and consistency of master data across business systems including the documentation of policies and procedures to support MDM across multiple systems including, but not limited to SAP S4/Hana, SAP ECC, Viewpoint, Proactis and internally developed systems

Support the business with required procedures, submit incidents and change requests when needed

Assist with continuous improvement of data management

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

Previous master data management experience in SAP - mandatory

Specific knowledge around SAP Work-flow or Authorizations is a plus

Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) tool

Able to understand and investigate topics related to multiple business areas

Analytically minded and methodical problem solver
Good understanding of data relationships

Very good interpersonal skills with excellent customer service and "can do" mentality

Knowledge and experience uploading data using Business objects data services (BODS)

Experience working within a multi-cultural environment
