This position reports to the Sr. Manager Financial Controls, Corporate Financial Solutions.

Essential Functions/Job Description:

Supports Financial System (SAP) mid-month and month-end close process.

Controls opening and closing periods for GL, AP, AR, FA, MM and CO modules.

Controls re-opening and re-closing periods for financial adjustments, corrections journal entries.

Ensures consistency of data/hierarchies between general ledger and other company systems. Must have in-depth knowledge of:

  • SAP Company Code Configuration/Set up

  • SAP GL Configuration and Master-data

  • SAP Cost Elements (Primary & Secondary)

  • SAP Profit Center Accounting

  • SAP Cost Center Accounting.

Conducts ad-hoc SAP training for new and existing employees.

Evaluates requests for SAP FI-GL and CO roles, company code enablers &security authorization groups' access.

Processes inter-company 980 I/C Extract programs for Non-SAP entities.

Reviews requests for new/change SAP master data elements in the following areas:

  • Company code

  • General ledger

  • Cost center

  • Profit center

  • Profit center and Cost center Hierarchies.

SAP Production support

  • Researches inquiries/questions on SAP master data elements

  • Maintains SAP & Non-SAP GL Accounts Mapping Table

  • Supports Non-SAP Business Unit Contacts on 980 I/C extract questions/inquiries

  • Applies master data changes in the system.

Collaborates with HRIS Team to ensure master data consistencies with PeopleSoft.

Liaisons with Hyperion Financial Management Team to ensure consistent meta/master data.

Assists/Partners with Business Units and Corporate Functions on process improvements.

Participates on Corporate special projects.

Minimum Requirements

5+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

Critical Skills

  • 3+ years of SAP in FI/CO.

  • 5+ years of Finance and/or Accounting experience.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to apply logical methodology for the analysis and resolution of business and technical issues.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain business relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Resourceful and highly productive with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Excellent team player with strong organization skills.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in MIS, Finance or Accounting.

  • MBA or CPA is a plus.
