Position Summary:

The Senior SAP FICO-PS Analyst will be responsible for providing ongoing operational support and continuous improvement of financial business processes via introducing improvement and new functionalities in SAP Finance-Controlling and Project System modules while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

The main responsibility of this position is to deliver solutions using standard methodologies in SAP financial systems with proficiency in the Project System space . The chosen candidate must possess expertise in understanding the business needs and translating into functional solution.

The candidate is required to work in close collaboration with various business functions and interact with a diverse group of Subject Matter Experts, also to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to help improve the benefit of IT system investments. In addition, the Analyst will ensure compliance with change control procedures; standard operating procedures; support existing functionalities; requested changes and development of new functionalities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing, configuring, documenting, testing, delivering and supporting SAP FICO and PS solutions (i.e. GL, AR, AP, FA, Banking, CCA, IO, PCA, COPA, Project System) to meet business requirements.
  • Configure SAP Finance and Controlling, Project System modules per business requirements and standard methodologies.
  • Design and write functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions and forms.
  • Liaise and collaborate with other SAP work streams, ABAP development team, various IT technical support teams and Business partners onshore and offshore to design and deliver complete end to end solutions that optimize operational performance of systems.
  • Participate in small, medium and large size projects.
  • Adheres to change management process.
  • Assist in driving process improvement initiatives to optimize user experience.
  • Understand business needs and being able to translate them into a form that leads to process improvements, organizational and/or technology solutions in line with standard methodologies and standards.
  • Conducting system, regression testing, facilitating and supporting user acceptance testing and training.
  • Adhere to IT policies and procedures and development management standard methodologies in the implementation and maintenance of IT Solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant business degree
  • 8+ years of Business System Analyst experience.
  • 6+ years of experience with SAP ECC hands-on configuration experience in FICO and PS with multi-functional skills.
  • Experience in at least 3 full life cycle implementations within SAP FICO and Project System
  • Experience of implementing Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows and understanding of SAP ABAP is required.
  • Experience with SAP integration to third party solutions and Bolt on SAP Solutions.
  • Knowledge of integration with logistics modules SD, MM, PP.
  • Experience with Vertex integration.
  • Experience in tax settings as part of Sales and Procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of Inter-company processes and familiarity with IDOC configuration.
  • Experience in building solutions to meet country specific local requirements.
  • Knowledge of the SAP Authorization concept.
  • Hands on experience in gathering business requirements and clearly translating into specifications for IT solution design (concept to production).
  • Experience in problem/incident management, SLAs – Service Level Agreements and full lifecycle system support.
  • SOX environment experience
  • Revenue accounting
