job summary:

The Senior SAP FICO Analyst plays lead role in gathering business requirements, analysis, configuration, testing, and coordination of FICO enhancements. This position reports to SAP Director Finance and will be an integral part of the finance projects and support model for various SAP modules utilized by the Finance organization.

responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from finance users, make necessary configuration changes and test the changes to make sure solution is meeting requirements and is consistent with other existing processes
  • Develop functional specifications from business requirements and communicate these in technical terms to ABAP developers
  • Learn and support the SAP modules related to the Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay and Fixed Assets processes; learn the configuration capabilities of the associated SAP modules
  • Work with business partners on planning future enhancements within a released based model
  • Clearly communicate thoughts, ideas, specifications, and requirements with business users and technical developers using appropriate means of communication
  • Deliver results on time and on budget
  • Follow company procedures and policies on application design, and development and compliance related requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting is required
  • Minimum 5 years' SAP configuration of SAP FICO and integration with SD and MM is required
  • Experience in SAP New General Ledger and Fixed Assets module is preferred
  • Experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation in FICO is preferred
  • Experience in writing Functional Specification Documentation (WRICEF) and Unit Testing is required
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate functional/technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of Windows based applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team player with a positive and encouraging demeanor
  • Able to thrive in a small business atmosphere
