Job Role Summary

The TSW Analyst is responsible for supporting the SAP TSW (Trader and Schedulers Workbench) application and associated interfaces (APIs, etc.) used globally by the Fuels, Lubes, and Chemical businesses. The position will be located in Houston and work as part of the global support team on base support, enhancements, projects, and business consulting as required.

Primary Job Functions

  • Gather business requirements for incidents, enhancement requests, and projects
  • Prepare detailed design specifications for program, report, or interface development
  • Coordinate IT implementation activities
  • Provide post-production support for application continuity and sustainability
  • Respond to and resolve problem tickets and service requests raised by users
  • Use standard SAP tools to troubleshoot/debug and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate with the business users and other IT Support Teams
  • Make configuration and variant changes as needed
  • Develop APIs for TSW and integrated applications to expose and consume data
  • Support improvement activities / implementation of strategic initiatives and projects
  • Provide technical leadership & consulting for complex incidents and enhancements
  • Maintain up-to-date competency in SAP TSW and interfaces
  • Implement and support RPAs and web based interfaces to SAP
  • Utilize Agile frameworks and tools to plan, execute, and track work

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or IT-related fields
  • 3-7 years of  experience
  • Intermediate experience in regional and global projects
  • Extensive experience in end user application support
  • Extensive experience coordinating activities with business support teams or business clients
  • Hands-on functional configuration experience with SAP
  • Good understanding of ABAP programming language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able / willing to travel internationally on occasion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross functional IT and business teams

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Advantage: working knowledge of Agile Frameworks (i.e. Scrum and Kanban)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-tasks and manage workload under time pressure and changing priorities
  • Knowledge of Business Application design, implementation, change management and product lifecycle
  • Experience and  solid knowledge of ERP Applications; e.g. SAP FI, SD, MM, PM would be a plus
