Summary
- Position is located in Fairburn, Georgia and reports to the Supply Chain and Sales IT Manager in Chicago, Illinois.
Supports Business Unit(s) requirements; works closely with all business groups and application developers to facilitate the support of business-critical applications in the installed SAP ECC6.0 and related interfaces in the operations (SD/LE) area; contributes to design solutions, and resolves issues in a development and production support environment; conduct, coordinate and be accountable for testing and the effectiveness of user training, Process Documentation and System testing; work closely with local and international business groups, and assist Key Users to manage Work Request (Development, Enhancements and Production Support) prioritization.
This process will include but not limited to: 1. initial assessment of the request; 2. evaluate the need for additional assistance within and outside the team, and 3. follow the standard procedures to seek other associates input and help bring any and all business requests within Operations (SD/LE) area to closure; while working on Operations (SD/LE) requests, extend help to resolve cross-functional requests on a timely fashion; SAP Technical work to support new processes, enhancements, break-fix: SAP Implementations, Data Transfer, Configuration set-up, 3rd party interfaces; Documentation: Requirements, Design Specs, Testing and QA; and Assist reporting manager(s) in work prioritization with business and update of status in Work request Database.
Special skills
- Experience with SD and LE modules of SAP ECC
- Experience with EDI interface (either in a business or IT function)
- Idocs and configuration work required to support EDI; Standard Orders, Consignment, 3rd party drop-ship, etc.;
- Knowledge of SD user-exits, function modules and understanding standard delivered software process logic;
- Business relationship, solid communication skills, experience in a support function.
Occasional domestic travel might be required (less than 10% of time)
Required Skills:
- SD + LE modules experience
- Proven capability in a fast-paced packaged goods operations.
- Solid communication skills
- One full life cycle SAP Implementations a must (in SD/LE preferred)
- Experience with configuration of Order Management functionality including “Sales Order Processing” and “Logistics Execution”.
- Solid experience in Systems analysis and design.
- Able to identify gaps and working with off-shore technical team in resolving issues..
- Skills in testing and evaluation of new Order Management computer system functionality
- Interaction with users from various functional areas (sales, order processing, shipping, logistics, credit, A/R, finance, etc.)
- Develop procedures, processes and guidelines that are efficient and focused on the quality of the process or end-state deliverable
- Willingness and ability to travel (mostly domestic travel) as required
- Monitor iDocs interfaces; Troubleshoot and resolve iDoc problems.
- Able to communicate at all levels of the organization with effectiveness.
Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, with 3-5 years of work experience with SAP systems, including two years experience with SAP SD and LE processes.
Other
Prior experience with SAP Warehouse and Sales Distribution modules is preferred.
Must be comfortable working in a self-directed environment and have prior experience participating in cross-functional project teams.
