JOB SUMMARY

  • Manager of a technical or application group with responsibility for multiple teams that perform support functions, and/or development and implementation, for complex infrastructure components or customer application systems that relate to mainframe, networking, personal computer, distributed computing and/or internet technologies.
  • Relied upon to share continuous improvement ideas, and by Management during temporary absence of the Supervisor (if applicable).
  • Completely independent. Serves as technical lead for design and delivery for medium-to-large cross-regional and/or cross-continent projects and may assist with assigning day-to-day responsibilities.  Expected to own and implement continuous improvement initiatives within department.  Manages vendors as needed.
  • Contributes to improvement in system efficiency, costs, and quality and works closely with IS management, Business Managers, Division Managers and customer management in selecting projects and keeping them informed of progress and major problems.  Works closely with the systems architects to explore alternatives and contributes to system evolution. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists leaders in providing day-to-day support to the team to ensure customer quality needs are met.
  • Performs the role of SCM/APO solution architect on large SAP Implementations including the facilitation of workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
  • Makes efficient use of available information technology and must be aware of I/S technology trends to develop compatible systems. 
  • Utilizes group standards, practices, and processes; establishes, manages, and reports adherence to schedules and may contribute to resolution of complex problems and systems challenges that involve careful interpretation, analysis and diagnosis. 
  • Anticipates potential systems difficulties related to complex problems, considers interrelationships of the functional areas involved, identifies alternatives from many choices, and recommends the best solution.
  • Reviews standard courses of action and recommends the best options.
  • Serves as primary trainer of new team members on routine, and some complex responsibilities, plus assists management with technical training of team members.
  • Interacts with business unit or service center investors and brokers to have an in-depth understanding of their operations within Neovia and benchmarked to related corporate and/or industry standards.
  • Assists with developing high-level concepts for all applications, technologies or methodologies for all major projects within a division, department or entire I/S unit; includes marketing the system solution and its benefits to prospective customers worldwide.
  • Reviews and provides counsel for all major 'Business Case Analysis' efforts within a division, department or entire I/S unit. 
  • Assists with providing project leadership, advice to IT personnel, management, customers and project teams on the most complex aspect of application development, system integration, and development methods
  • Investigates, proposes and implements leading edge development methods and tools.
  • Provides end-to-end analysis, design, setup/configuration, testing, and rollout of the SPP solution for new system launches according to project schedule utilizing project SDLC methodologies.
  • Provides end-to-end management and support of SPP system solutions to meet service level commitments utilizing Incident, Change, and Problem Management techniques.
  • Ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service and tangible outputs.
  • Relies on industry standards, best practices, and qualitative & quantitative data to support and/or refine operations methodologies.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned, including overnight and potential international travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, business and relevant work experience.
  • At least 7 years of IT experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience serving as primary lead in one or a combination of the following: support teams, complex/cross-functional/cross-regional projects.
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible job-related experiences typically required.
  • At least 7 years client-facing experience, working closely with business teams and customers.
  • At least 7 years of experience and latest technology knowledge in six or more of the following:
  1. programming languages and/or software
  2. MS Office productivity software for use performing job
  3. computing hardware and software environments
  4. system integration processes
  5. system administration processes and tools
  6. development processes and tools
  7. logic diagrams, testing, debugging and documentation
  8. SAP Techno-Functional/Functional Knowledge and Certification in relevant module helpful
  • At least 3 years of end-to-end SAP-SPP implementation experience.
  • Broad knowledge and background in the following:
  1. systems hardware and software
  2. previous technical experience in Neovia applications or infrastructure
  3. support and development methodologies, business planning, project management, and Neovia customer application needs
  • A good understanding of the Neovia organization and its business processes is helpful.
  • A good understanding of the SPP Demand Capture, Forecasting, Inventory Planning, DRP, Deployment, CIFs concepts with little to no direction for analysis, design, configuration, testing, and supporting SPP solutions.
  • Strong knowledge in ECC/GATP/MM/WM is must. Strong integration experience between ECC & SPP.
  • Functional knowledge and implementation experience in SAP Supply Chain Management applications.
