Job Description

TEKsystems is partnering with a company in Greenville, SC looking to add an SAP Specialist to their IT team. This person will serve as their SAP point of contact and take ownership of this system for their division. They are currently using the modules - Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Financial Accounting (FI). They have a National IT group (ITCA) which supports the company as a whole but they do not have the time or resources to prioritize the work for MCPP specific to SAP. This person will serve as their own in-house specialist so they don't have to call ITCA for every project.

There are three major projects in the pipeline that this person will be running/supporting:
1. Warehouse Management Project - they are looking at implementing at a new WMS. They will probably not go with SAP so a third party company will be coming in to implement the WMS. This means that this person will need to serve as the liaison between the SAP system and the third party company. They are looking at RFgen, they have already done this project for their sister company. .
2. EDI/eCommer Project: Currently they are manually entering line items that are ordered into SAP. For example if Amazon places an order it can be anywhere from 50 to 1,000 line items and someone has to go manually enter each item.
3. Material Management Planning (MRP) Module Project: they have turned on MRP but are not utilizing it at 100% and they need this person to gain more knowledge on how to utilize the system the way it's supposed to be use.

Top Skills

1. Experience with hands-on, technical work with SAP - configuring the system, building out the specs, troubleshooting the code to identify issues, taking functional requirements and turning them into technical specs for the development team
2. Experience with being the liaison for integrations between SAP and third party systems. Ex: SAP interfacing with a WMS
3. Experience with project management - running SAP related projects.
