POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Basis Admin – Solution Manager (Monitoring) will be directly responsible for the installation, configuration and support of SolMan Technical Monitoring. The successful candidate will need to have an excellent understanding of and extensive knowledge of standard system tools with the ability to use them to automate complex system tasks.  This position will also need to provide coaching to other team members.  Experience in a large networked environment with good understanding of network fundamentals is essential as is knowledge of network file systems and storage options.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • 24x7 support of customer environments including operations, incidents, service requests and execution of changes
  • Perform/coordinate incident diagnosis, corrective action, and root cause analysis
  • Pro-actively highlight and address potential problems and investigate solutions in conjunction
  • Installation and configure SAP Solution Manager Technical Monitoring module
  • Setup of SAP and non-SAP managed systems into Solution Manager
  • Setup and configuration of SMD agents
  • Setup, analysis, and remediation of EWA reports
  • Implement security best practices for Solution Manager
  • Setup of SolMan custom templates
  • Mentor and coach junior team members
  • Leverage existing automation to expedite deployments and service requests as well we identify areas of operations quality deficit or automation opportunities
  • Ensure contractual SLAs are met
  • Conform and adhere to change management process for customer environments
  • Create documenting for all process and support tasks
  • Provide guidance as a subject matter expert on product design, development, troubleshooting and documentation
  • Maintain responsibility for end-user (customer) satisfaction
  • Willing to work a second shift (e.g. 4 to mid-night) or after hours and weekends
  • Responsible for sharing 24 x 7 on-call duties with other team members

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of SAP Solution Manager experience with setting up technical monitoring across various SAP systems
  • Minimum 8 years of SAP Basis experience
  • Knowledge of security best practices for Solution Manager
  • Experience with SAP HANA a plus
  • Knowledge and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure a plus
  • Experience working in DoD environment a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • U.S. Citizen
