The Senior Solution Consultant will be the primary liaison and partner to the Human Resources business unit leveraging technical knowledge and leadership to drive improvements to business processes and technology solutions in SAP SuccessFactors and other HR technology products. This position is responsible for leading configuration, maintenance, operations, integration of new business processes, acquisitions, and ongoing administration of our HR Business Solutions.Coordinates with IT colleagues on continuous improvement, solution evolution, cross-functional teams.Applies knowledge insystem configuration, integration testing, effort estimates for break/fix, enhancements, or new functionality while following the established change and release management processes and ITIL service levels.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Provides support within area of responsibility for:

  • Business partners in day-to-day process / system issues through Service Desk tickets.

  • Education needs of business partners for:

  • New or problematic areas of system/process

  • Master data

  • Report execution

  • Interfaces with other internal or external systems and partners

  • After hours and on call batch jobs

  • Coordinate with third parties to apply upgrades, changes, data updates to ensure that system components are fully compliant

  • Assist business partners with auditing activities by providing data, reports, or other information to satisfy auditor requests

  • Works with business partners on small enhancement or larger projects to resolve process issues or meet new business requirements while maintaining an SAP best practice approach to reduce custom code. You should be able to take requests from or provide system / process improvement ideas to your business partners.

  • Document business requirements

  • Perform analysis and functional and/or technical design and estimate solution for implementation while coordinating with technical / development resources.

  • Charter project and send through governance to obtain project resources and establish timing

  • Perform configuration for modules in your area of responsibility

  • Test solution during development to determine areas of improvement

  • Coordinate or assist with data gathering, data review, data loads and process education

  • Implement solution into production system

  • Support business partners during hyper care immediately after go-live of new functionality

  • Transition new functionality/process to support

  • Works with business partners on opportunity assessment / proof of concept investigations as a key input into future business optimization projects

  • Acts as a project manager for projects in their area of responsibility. This will include managing a project team of internal resources or consultants to deliver a final solution to business partners based on their requirements. It will also involve supporting the business partner leads on the project as well.

  • Maintain relationships with key business partner stakeholders

  • Works with IT colleagues to ensure best practices are followed for security, compliance, change management and release management. Collaborates internally with other team members on continuous improvement and/or on cross-functional teams. May coach junior team members.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline Global Operations from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science, information management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience and experience configuring and implementing one or more SAP SuccessFactors modules.

  • Minimum of 2 Full Life-cycle implementations of SAP SuccessFactors, from planning to configuration through go-live

  • Must have Payroll functional application knowledge and a strong understanding of the integration points

  • Detailed knowledge of the SuccessFactors integration points with one or more third party tools such as payroll, time management, and/or expense reporting solutions required

  • Overall 15+ Years of HR and IT experience

  • In depth understanding of the following SuccessFactors modules: Employee Central, Employee Central Payroll, Compensation, Performance and Goals, Recruitment Management, Onboarding, Learning, and Workforce Planning and Analytics

  • Extensive experience with HR integrations for time management.

  • HR Data migration experience from various platforms and translation to SuccessFactors data models.

  • 4+ years leadership experience on SAP implementation projects

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to

  • Design/build/test across the lifecycle of SAP Project for configuration and working with development team on specs and testing.

  • Familiarity with SaaS solutions, such as Concur, and their integration points with SuccessFactors

  • Curious thinker with the initiative to find solutions

  • Strong attention to detail, urgency, focus and discipline

  • Customer first mentality with demonstrated ability to improve processes

  • Ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts and communicate with both with technical and non-technical users

  • Must be effective in gathering requirements from the business users, know the appropriate SF options and be able to strongly articulate the pros and cons associated with each option

  • Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations

  • Understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions, processes and experience with database tools

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; flexible, supportive, and adaptive to change

  • Maintain SAP best practice solution approach to reduce custom code.
