PURPOSE OF POSITION
- The SAP Security Specialist will be a part of CP’s Enterprise Security team and will be responsible for performing a variety of day-to-day and project-related SAP security activities;
- Leadership accountability for inputs and outputs of safety, service, productivity and financial metrics.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Administer and support the SAP security functional area for the existing SAP environment and new implementations by performing user and role administration activities;
- Plan and execute security development for all SAP systems;
- Work on SAP security projects and day-to-day access requests, incidents and work orders in an effective and efficient manner;
- Participate in user acceptance testing and help to ensure smooth transport of code to the production environments;
- Coordinate project planning activities with the SAP functional teams and manage workload for complete and timely delivery of assigned tasks;
- Evaluate, mentor and provide feedback to junior staff;
- Gather requirements, design, document and implement SAP security processes within the guidelines of CP’s security standards and threat assessments;
- Participate in training efforts for the team and business groups;
- Ability to take a broad view of a position and take initiative to communicate, interact and co-operate with others to ensure that all aspects of a task are addressed;
- Document SAP security-related processes, procedures, standards and guidelines;
- Assist with the execution of CP’s information security strategy and roadmap;
- Participate in the rotational after-hours on-call support;
- Ensuring that all implemented security changes adhere to the approved policies, standards and practices;
- Ensure compliance with CP’s SOX controls and control-framework;
- Provide insight into leading industry and SAP security practices;
- Stay current with emerging technology trends, and regulations to support business needs;
- Various other duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

University degree or equivalent in an IT related field;

Minimum 7 years of core SAP security design, analysis, configuration, compliance and implementation experience;

Minimum 7 years of SAP security basics, SAP authorization concept, roles/activity groups, role-based access controls and user administration;

SOD conflict resolution;

Excellent understanding of SAP HR functional requirements and how it relates to SAP security;

Experience in SAPECC 6.0, ESS/MSS and GRC 10 environments;

Experience creating technical documentation;

Experience managing a technical team;

Experience adhering and maintaining to SOX controls and working with IT auditors on SAP security related SOX audits;

Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills;

Good planning and project management skills – including the flexibility to effectively work on multiple tasks and to meet a variety of demands on short notice and with stringent timelines;

Clear and effective oral and written communication skills – including the ability to interpret complex technical matters in simple easy to understand ways;

Ability to identify priorities and ensure that work is completed within stipulated timeframes.
