SAP SC / Supply Chain Functional Analyst

The SAP SC / Supply Chain Functional Analyst applies expertise in a business/technical system area to an information technology tool set specifically SAP SC and EWM in an attempt to automate manual effort. The candidate will have grown their single-system focus into a cross-functional understanding of how multiple business/technical processes interact with one another. In an attempt to match the capabilities of current IT technology with business/technical needs, the architect must strive for a cross-functional, cross-platform solutions and provides guidance to departmental & divisional business/technical management on IT strategies & initiatives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business/technical needs & translate process into practice through the current information technology tool sets. Project involvement is multi-disciplinary & complex in scope. Identify opportunities to enhance existing operations using new IT technology as a replacement for legacy systems manual effort.
  • Implement new business/technical strategies through configuration interaction & creation of programing specifications. These specifications may be acted upon by the Business Process Architect or turned over to the Information Technology Development staff for assistance.
  • Provide knowledge transfer on current technologies to stakeholders & junior level staff. Provide knowledge transfer on business/technical practice to junior level staff.
  • Conduct full integration testing of new or changed business/technical processes. Develop business. Technical cycle tests for use by stakeholder community. Document all process changes & write operational instructions work requirements. This documentation may serve as training material for the Business Process Consultant or stakeholder community.
  • Provide adequate analyses & supporting documentation to enable management to develop effective work plans & project schedules. Track to project plans. Monitor results. Make adjustments to priorities in order to accomplish objectives on time & under budget
