Gordon Food Service is looking for a full time ERP Software Engineer with strong experience in SAP ABAP development, ideally S/4 HANA environment, to support a 5-year transformational journey to re-imagine critical business processes, leveraging a best in class technology platform, SAP S/4HANA. In addition to SAP ABAP, we are looking for expertise in an integrations using SAP PI/PO middleware, Fiori, and SAP cloud platform integration (CPI) to support S/4 transformation project. SAP ABAP/integration developer will operate as an individual contributor capable to use in-depth industry knowledge with a solid foundation of Software Engineering.

Responsibilities:

As an ABAP/Integration Developer, the candidate will be responsible for functional design analysis, technical design and development. Candidate is expected to work with functional designers to understand the requirements, translate that to technical design and develop the WRICEF’s (workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms) objects. While working on interfaces, the candidate will be responsible to understand the requirements and work closely with multiple process streams providing technical inputs on SAP PI/PO integration capabilities and building the interfaces.

• Review functional designs and meets business requirements by developing and implementing SAP modifications and/or PI/PO configuration changes.
• Develop technical designs and builds WRICEF’s (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Forms)
• Conform to development and integration standards and conduct code/design reviews
• Work closely with functional analysts to determine optimal programming/interface solutions to functional requirements in P2P, O2C, R2R and Manufacturing process areas.
• Understands, refines and complies with integration patterns, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Unit test and document testing results
• Ensure code is migrated across project landscape according to project timelines
• Support and fix defects during various testing cycles
• Proactively supports performance tuning and maintenance activities as needed and ensure technical solutions meet the performance guidelines and standards
