Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP Release Management Specialist to join our IT team. As an integral part of our organization you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of SAP software releases enhancements and updates. Your expertise in managing the end-to-end release process will be vital in maintaining the stability and reliability of our SAP landscape.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute release strategies for SAP applications ensuring minimal disruption to production environments. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers testers and system administrators to plan and coordinate release activities. 3. Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of release processes tools and methodologies. 4. Perform risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential release-related issues. 5. Coordinate and communicate release schedules outage schedules status updates and deployment plans to stakeholders and team members. 6. Conduct thorough testing and validation of SAP releases verifying functionality performance and security aspects. 7. Troubleshoot and resolve release-related incidents identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures. 8. Monitor and report on release metrics identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices. 9. Maintain documentation standard operating procedures and knowledge base related to release management processes. 10. Stay up-to-date with SAP technologies industry trends and best practices applying relevant knowledge to enhance release management practices.
Requirements: 1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. 2. Proven experience in SAP release management with a deep understanding of SAP systems and modules. 3. Proficiency in using SAP Solution Manager and other related release management tools. 4. Familiarity with ITIL practices and change management principles. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 7. Solid understanding of software development life cycle SDLC methodologies and agile practices. 8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 9. Certification in SAP release management or related fields is a plus.
