This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Concord Township, Ohio (about 30-40 minutes east of Cleveland, OH).

Job Summary:

The SAP Project Systems Lead will oversee all Ranpak project work and post-implementation work in the Project Systems (PS) process area.

The jobs entails executing system integration testing cycles and deployment of SAP S/4 HANA, working closely with Ranpak business team members, IT team members, external consultants, and third-party software providers.

He/she will also oversee long-term post-implementation support, maintenance, solution quality, and continuous improvement enablement. This will include overseeing a combination of managed service resources and internal resources.

The Owner will report to the overall SAP Solution Application Lead, reporting into the Ranpak CTO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The PTM stream encompasses various PS processes involving configuration of templates/WBS, creating projects, project planning, budgeting, release, project implementation and project completion, with close integration with Finance, PTM and PTP workstreams. Therefore, not only will you provide oversight for the implementation of the PS business processes, you will also share your expertise in the end-to-end PS process and its key integration with manufacturing and finance.

The IT Lead oversees all integration work within the Project Systems stream, coordinating with other IT experts to test interfaces, test integration and business scenarios, train end-users, finalize error handling procedures, deploy updated functionality, and support live legacy changes.

The IT Lead will validate the test scripts, oversee and resolve solution defects identified throughout various test cycles, review cutover plans, participate in mock cutovers, and execute system readiness activities. He/she will also help define the support organization, design support procedures, and enable support tools.

The IT Lead will participate in deployment readiness, cutover, and support preparation activities. He/she will also oversee post-implementation support and transition to long-term support providers.

He/she will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing maintenance of Project Systems solution. This will include overseeing support staff, overseeing resolution/testing/documenting solution defects, managing solution governance, reviewing solution quality, managing systems upgrades and enhancements, and spearheading key continuous improvement initiatives and solution decisions/roadmap in the future. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing the solution extension for any business expansion, including fit/gap against the template Ranpak solution, new system build elements, testing and regression testing, deployment, and support.

This individual will need to work independently, with limited direction, achieving expected results; resolving issues that may arise in an appropriate manner. He/she will serve as the focal point of contact between the business team, broader IT team, external consultants, and third party software providers.

Travel will be required at various points throughout the project for key activities.

Education and Experience:

BS/BBA in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering and 7+ years of experience on SAP implementation projects in the SAP FI-CO and SAP Project Systems modules.

As An Ideal Candidate, You Are Great At:

+ Ensuring the configuration of the SAP PS modules are adopting SAP Best Practices and meeting the critical requirements to drive the manufacturing processes.

+ Supporting the configuration and testing of the SAP Project Systems module and its integration with PP/MM and FI-CO.

+ Understanding and analyzing business requirements and translate them into system requirements, configurations, and customizations.

+ Dispositioning requirements that deviate from SAP Best Practices and effectively aid the business in adopting standard out-of-box functionalities.

+ Completing the functional specifications for any interfaces, forms and extensions required in the Plan-to-Manufacture workstream.

+ Monitoring the technical delivery and aiding in the testing of the end-to-end processes

+ Conducting unit testing, functional and system integration testing, both functional and security, and triaging system deficiencies when they occur

+ Assisting in data migration including data mapping (ETL) and data validation activities

+ Developing of documentation, including requirements gathering documentation, functional design documents, test scripts, training materials

+ Supporting the PS modules in a steady-state environment post go-live.

+ Triaging issues and defects and track and report on resolution and perform root cause analysis.

+ Monitoring and respond to service desk tickets and maintain ticket statuses.

+ Providing status updates on operational activities, incidents, service requests and minor enhancements

The ideal candidate would be expected to achieve the following objectives within the first six months:

+ Get up to speed on the current business processes in the Project Systems process area.

+ Create meeting cadence with key users and monitor progress on various initiatives.

+ Establish a disciplined approach to SAP Project Systems solution delivery, by identifying the best business process models to meet business requirements.

+ Establish standards for good hygiene, recommendations for global standardization, and develop clear enhancement documentation.

+ Deliver value insights to key business stakeholders by identifying opportunities for process improvements.

+ Develop and deliver a state-of-the-art end user training for Project Systems and produce training material for long-term viability of the solution.

The ideal candidate will have:

+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or Engineering from a recognized institution.

+ Minimum 7 years of experience configuring and implementing SAP ERP or S4/HANA.

+ At minimum 4 full lifecycle implementations (or equivalent experience) configuring SAP Project Systems module in a manufacturing environment.

+ Familiarity with SAP integration between modules FI, PP, MM, EWM, SD.

+ Experience executing a business blueprint and documenting business requirements that can be understood by a technical process team.

+ Familiarity with configuration of the business processes around Project Systems such as External Financed Projects, Internal Financed Projects, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and Work Packages.

+ Experience designing and supporting interfaces, conversions and forms for SAP S4/HANA

+ Experience with SAP reporting, embedded analytics, and HANA live reporting a plus

+ Must have excellent communication and analytical skills, demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills; both oral and written are a necessity.

+ Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

+ SAP S4/HANA certification(s) in Finance/Project Systems highly preferred
