The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving the successful delivery of Butterballs SAP S/4HANA project. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective management of a company-wide SAP green-field transformation project. Your role will involve taking ownership and managing the end-to-end planning and delivery process, from project initiation to completion, while ensuring high-quality standards and timely delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for utilizing SDLC and project management tools, implementing hybrid project delivery methodologies, and effectively managing teams.

Essential Functions, Duties, & Responsibilities:

Candidate will have to build excellent relationships with the business and other key stakeholders to ensure their expectations are managed and their issues are resolved by collaboration, to achieve a position of trusted advisor.

Exceptional communication, able to engage with all levels of stakeholders and decision makers, to build relationships and proactively drive the project requirements.

Identify and proactively resolve issues by gaining agreement from the key decision makers both business and delivery team(vendor) to ensure that the project objectives are met.

Provide comprehensive project planning structure and maintenance

Report regularly on the project progress to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

Willingness to keep up to date with current trends in S/4HANA, program management and the development of key technologies in the area.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


Candidate must have an excellent understanding of Project Management Methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies and the appropriate use of each within a complex project framework.

Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills are crucial for success in this project. The project manager should be skilled in areas such as project planning, scope management, risk management, resource allocation, and budgeting. They should be able to develop and execute project plans, track progress, manage stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery.

Previous ERP implementation project management experience

Business Process Knowledge: Understanding of business processes and their alignment with an ERP system is essential. A project manager should have good understanding of various business functions and how they are integrated within ERP systems.

Communication and Leadership: Effective communication skills are crucial for a project manager to interact with team members, stakeholders, and senior management. They should be able to clearly articulate project goals, objectives, and progress. Strong leadership skills are also important to motivate and inspire the project team and drive them towards success.

Stakeholder Management: A project manager should have the ability to identify, engage, and manage stakeholders effectively. This includes understanding their expectations, addressing concerns, and maintaining open lines of communication. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and managing their involvement throughout the project lifecycle is essential.

Problem-solving and Decision-making: The candidate must understand and address complex challenges and make quick decisions. They will need to be able to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, evaluate risks, and make informed decisions to address issues that arise during the project and keep it on track.

Change Management: Implementing any ERP involves significant changes in business processes and systems. This project manager will need to have knowledge of change management principles and techniques to effectively manage the transition. They should be able to create change management plans, communicate the benefits of the project and its resulting changes to stakeholders, and facilitate training and support to ensure successful adoption.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of deliverables is essential for a successful S/4HANA implementation. The project manager must have a strong focus on quality assurance and be able to define and implement quality control processes. They should also be familiar with testing methodologies and be able to oversee testing activities to validate the system's functionality.


SAP S/4HANA greenfield project management experience is strongly preferred.

A project manager with in-depth knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA system, including its architecture, modules, and functionalities.

A project manager familiar with the latest features and capabilities of S/4HANA and an understanding of how it can be leveraged to meet business requirements.

Candidate has experience of SAP Implementation methodology, ideally Activate+.

Education & Experience:

Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years IT project experience, out of which at least 5 years should have been in a Project Management role, managing small to large, simple to complex, projects.

Candidate should have proven hands-on experience of project managing and successful delivering of several complex, multi-vendor ERP implementation projects, on time and on budget.

Experience in SAP implementation is strongly preferred.

Experience in a CPG manufacturing food industry business is preferred.

Candidate should have had experience using project management tools for planning, resourcing, budgeting, and reporting for an IT-system delivery project.
