Description
Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, and other relationships:
SAP Project Controller is responsible for the overall project SAP control and reporting function, providing
leadership, coordination, and management of the cost controlling and reporting processes. Assists the team that
provides day to day cost and schedule updates, analysis and administration to support to project teams (units) to
ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and in conformance to quality and engineering standards.
Major Roles and Responsibilities (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):
•Collect, consolidate, centralize, standardize and report on capital construction activities, including budget,
forecasting and actual reporting.
•Manage SAP Project functions, such as REQ creation, PO creation, and Accrual entry, also produce monthly
spend reports.
•Assist with project regulatory audits and reporting •document control.
•Participates in project team scheduling and budgetary planning processes.
•Provides input to the Project Management Office for KPI and other reporting needs, as required.
•Assists the Manager with overall portfolio budget planning, including REV process, as well as any adjustments
within a budget period.
•Continually monitors individual progress to insure meeting of specific deadlines.
•Generation and supervision of periodic cost & schedule reports such as Progress and Earned Value metrics.
•Obtain and analyze the information periodically, updating the schedules and providing feedback with progress
reports to Controller, Project Manager and Project Teams (Units)
•Responsible for Project accountability overview, making sure that it complies with FERC, NERC and any other
applicable regulation.
•Support Coordinator and Project Managers on the development of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
•Attendance to Cost & Schedule Meetings as defined by the Project Managers.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Economics, and Business related field
MBA or professional certification a plus
Experience/Training:
•10 Years' experience in Project or SAP Controls
•Experience managing and leading teams
•Proficient at Microsoft Excel and Word
Skills/Abilities:
•Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
•Knowledge of cost tracking, annual budgeting and accruals
•Knowledge of SAP
•Effective leadership Skills
•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
•Results oriented
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Reporting
•Understanding of quality assurance processes
•Knowledge of main configuration and general arrangements of networks (substations, overhead lines and cable)
infrastructures
•Intercompany liaison
•Proven ability to lead and work in a team environment
