Position Summary:

The SAP Payroll Processing Administrator will assist with the processing of 5,000+ person bi-weekly SAP payroll for a fortune 250 Company located in Houston, TX. The Payroll Processing Administrator provides extraordinary customer service by resolving SAP payroll, employee, HR Business Partners, and timekeeper issues efficiently and correctly. Additionally, this role will assist with roles related to payroll tax analyst to include quarterly balancing, jurisdiction filings/notices, employee and system tax updates, and employee tax queries. 

Classification: Non-exempt

Essential Responsibilities:  

• Assists with processing bi-weekly payroll through SAP payroll process model

• Works with appropriate groups to resolve any SAP payroll processing errors

• Provides excellent customer service for employees, timekeepers, and HR business partners

• Monitors payroll shared mailbox as well as payroll request ticketing system for timely employee and HR business partner issue resolution

• Assists with processing off-cycle checks timely to resolve pay issues as directed by payroll manager

• Assist with payroll tax duties which include response to notices and employee questions, quarterly balancing processes, and bi-weekly tax remittance

• Reviews our daily change report for employee related issues

• Ensure that all payroll processing SOX controls are followed

• Assist with project related activities as requested

• Assist team members as necessary

• Must be reachable and respond to voicemails and emails expeditiously

• Overtime may be required as special projects arise

• Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities

Physical Demands: 

• Physical exertion includes bending, pushing, standing and walking. Must be able to move or lift and carry up to 20 pounds

• Good clarity of speech and other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively 

• Good personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel with necessary to off-site locations

• Good vision and good hearing acuity (with glasses and hearing aids, if necessary)

• Skilled in use of computer screens and manual dexterity in use of keyboard
