Must be a U.S. Person; NS2 does not offer Visa sponsorships for this role A Program Manager at SAP NS2 NSG is responsible for the overall management of projects and O&M activities for our intelligence community customers. They are responsible for planning, tracking, and managing the program, for identifying and maintaining key resources and providing the governance required to meet program objectives. They provide leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering project outputs to time, budget, and quality criteria. Ensuring adherence to project management methodology practices, providing team coaching, evaluating the performance of team members, and reinforcing knowledge management through collection and communication of lessons learned is fundamental to this role. The Program Manager may also be required to assist during the Opportunity Management Phase of the customer engagement by providing input into the proposal, especially in delivery model, project structure, organization, scoping, estimation, and risk assessment. Lastly, they can manage projects that require coordination of work between various SAP and non-SAP parties like third party sub-contractors, and intelligence community customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Delivery: -Conduct program planning activities and manage the execution of projects according to plan throughout the program life cycle. -Manage relationship with stakeholders, internal and external, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues, manage expectations and stakeholders’ satisfaction on all project requirements to enable a positive customer reference and success story. -Communicate a clear vision of the program’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a program environment that enables peak performance by team members. -Ensure proper use of methodology, tools, procedures, and governance to best meet project objectives -Balance the trade-off of the triple-constraint (time, cost, and scope) to realize the expected business value. -Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work, budget, and timeline. -Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual variance. -Analyze risk, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events for risk mitigating action. -Escalate issues early about the project to account management or delivery management. -Plan and execute formal Quality Gate process following the Q-Gate approach in SAP’s project implementation methodology. -Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties, gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained. Opportunity Management: -Provide input to bid management team to help scope and estimate the engagement, suggest delivery mode and methodology, and determine required resources. -Assess, document, and communicate risk for the engagement. Coaching & Mentoring: -Mentor project teams to ensure implementation of enterprise project management methodology, standards, and processes. -Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables to project team; review quality of work and provide performance input to project team members’ functional management. Knowledge Management: -Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases; analyze lessons learned and share with organization’s project management community. -Participate in the development of program management best practices. Skill and Competencies: -Proficient understanding of SAP solutions and consulting business processes and functions. -Proficiency with project management tools. -A clear vision of what determines a successful project for the customer and for the enterprise. -Knowledge and competency in project management processes including planning, resource allocation, risk management, time management, financial management, HR management, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documenting and record keeping. -Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change. -Ability to negotiate consensus amongst diverse groups even outside the reporting structure. -Conceptual analytical thinking and decision-making skills. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines; effective communication with senior management, clients, peers, and team members. Experience and Education Requirements: -Undergraduate Degree: preferably in Commerce, Engineering, or Information Technologies -PMP certification and /or other industry and project management certifications Functional Experience: -Minimum 5 years of program/project management experience in project implementations using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools. -Demonstrated experience in team building and leading teams. -Demonstrated expertise in creating project deliverables such as project charter, project management plan, status reports, project timesheets, communications plan, budget, and schedule. -Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements. - Management and Leadership Experience. -Management experience in managing small to medium size teams or organizations. -Strong leadership and people management skills are desirable.
