Job Summary:

SAP Materials Specialist will be responsible for the proper configuration, setup, organization and creation of SAP Master Materials Records (MMR) for the planning, procurement, use and control according to company needs and customer requirements. The position will oversee the organization and classification of bill of materials, operation routings, product hierarchy, MRP parameters and other relevant classifications. You will be setting up, creating maintaining, updating and organizing the master material records by collaborate with all applicable parties for the proper Product Lifecycle Management parameters. Performance will be to support production requirements, quicker new product launches, elimination and control of duplicate records. Position will need engage with other GD sites and GD material central team. Work to engage close with CIT for sales order entry and conduct Design Review to ensure proper Sales Order setup and configuration,

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the creation of materials numbers impacting inventory, purchasing and planning aligned we overall supply chain need in collaboration with organization.
• Ensure proper setup and updates of Material Master Records for MRP, BOM’s, routing, classification, replenishment, hierarchy and info all belong within. Collaborate with Finance for costing
• Verifying accuracy of MMR with regard to sales orders and applicable production orders.
• Support the creation and distribute organization data reports as required.
• Support ream for inventory issues
• Oversee the Chip configurations in collaboration with Production IT, production, Inventory control, relevant subsidiaries and planning.
• Setup data for Sales & Operation Planning reporting
• Support data background for material movements thru “bus scheduling” delivery and take backs.
• Documenting SAP processes
• Troubleshoot issues with orders, material configurations, etc.
• Conduct Design Review (DSR) meeting for fine spec configuration to ensure proper Sales Order setup.
• Transact proper material introduction into SAP thru ProPLMClient from ProNovia.
• Develop data and setup for analysis of selected material supermarkets, warehouse velocity slotting.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Strong analytical skills.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing, warehousing
• SAP/ERP skills and disciplines required
• Strong Excel and database building/navigating skills
• Hands on work approach, strong floor presence, and ability to lead by example required
• Ability to develop Standard Operating Procedures
• Courses MRP/ERP, Warehousing, Inventory Management and designations such with Association for Supply Chan Management.
• Ability to effectively operate in any organizational structure and interface with all levels of the organization
• Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately
• Strong employee relations, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
