Position Overview

Provide key technical and subject matter expertise to support the configuration, development and ongoing support of SAP Manufacturing, Inventory, Warehouse and Distribution modules.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Provide key support to configure and maintain functionality in the following SAP modules -- MM, PP, SD and logistics.
  • Analyze business processes and identify gaps
  • Provide guidance to business stakeholders to select the best solutions for addressing potential gaps
  • Champion the use of commonly-used concepts, SAP standard functionality, and best practices and procedures within specific SAP modules (Manufacturing module)
  • Participate in user and functional requirements gathering sessions in collaboration with functional business units and external consultants
  • Work with identified subject matter experts (SME’s) to develop solid understanding of business processes
  • Provide training for end users

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent preferred, will consider commensurate experience and/or combination of education and experience
  • 3+  years of SAP hands-on experience in core MM, PP, QM, SD and WM
  • Experience with SAP’s Physical Inventory and Cycle Counting Process
  • Experience with Shop Floor Data Collection systems and integration to SAP
  • Must have Master Data experience across multiple platforms
  • Must have experience working on small, fast paced project teams. Must have ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • SAP Certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 or more full project lifecycle SAP implementations
  •  3+ years’ experience in the FDA regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Ddatabase maintenance / development experience
  • Familiarity with a variety of lab equipment interfaces (LabWare LIMS, Millennium Empower, etc.)
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment (HPLC, balances, pH meters, biological and microbiological assay equipment, etc.)
