About the team
The HanaHaus team is seeking a talented and passionate community strategist with a focus on data analysis, business intelligence, and operations. This full-time internship position will be based in Newport Beach or Palo Alto, CA.

As a result of a recent reorganization, numerous learning opportunities have arisen within the team, as roles and processes are being adjusted to accommodate the changes. While we are managing the workload effectively, we would greatly benefit from the addition of someone who can provide a helping hand and a fresh perspective. This internship offers an excellent learning experience, as the role will encompass various tasks such as data analysis, revenue reporting, community strategy, business development, and more.
The intern will be responsible for driving these engagements and designing innovative business initiatives to take HanaHaus to new heights. We are searching for an individual with a "can do" attitude who can work at the intersection of business and technology. This role requires a strong technical background, with expertise in data analysis, data visualization, and data cleaning techniques. The intern will utilize these skills to drive growth, conduct revenue reporting, and provide valuable insights.

Internship Duration: 6 months to 1 year
Part-Time, Flexible Hours
Location: Palo Alto or Newport Beach
In this role, you'll:
- Provide support to the HanaHaus team, assisting with day-to-day business tasks.
- Research, design, and execute innovative operations processes to enhance and scale the business.
- Utilize toolsets to analyze and break down data sets, presenting insights to stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Conduct financial forecasting and track product utilization.
- Improve and document finance processes, automating them whenever possible.
- Gather data and contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly presentations for leadership meetings.
- Leverage various sources of user and financial information to identify and recommend new business opportunities.
- Actively participate in strategic projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, and dashboards to support effective decision-making by stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and implement solutions for analytics and reporting.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis and investigations to ensure data quality.
- Define, develop, and maintain critical business and operational reports reviewed on a regular basis.
- Analyze historical data to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, and support decision-making through written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations.
- Extract information from multiple data sources and identify correlations and patterns to meet business needs.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis on business trends and results, translating and communicating findings to leadership and key stakeholders.
Who you are:
We are seeking an individual with a strong focus on data analysis and business intelligence. You are someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and maintains a curious mindset. You enjoy working on meaningful and innovative projects and are driven by continuous learning. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in financial reporting, along with advanced skills in data analysis, business development, and product operations. Proficiency in Excel is a must, including knowledge of advanced macros, vlookups, and pivot tables. An IT background and technical skills such as Python and SQL are highly desirable.

- Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Data Science / Business Administration / Finance / Accounting / Management Information System or enrolled in Master's. Previous experience in finance reporting, data analysis, business development and product operations. A willingness to learn and grow into the role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Metabase, or similar.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for revenue reporting and analysis.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from databases or data warehouses, and scripting experience (Python) for data processing and modeling.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is $15 - $52/hr. USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
