Security Clearance Required: Active Top Secret/SCI

$5k sign on bonus for local candidates or $3k + relocation support for those outside the area

The Special Access Program (SAP) Information Systems Security Officer/System Administrator performs Information Systems Security services for classified programs. Employs problem solving, task performance, and produces finished documentation, e.g., reports, special studies, policy and procedure development, security designs, training programs and assessments. Develops policies and procedures to ensure secure information reliability and accessibility and to prevent and safeguard against unauthorized access to information systems, networks, and data. Conducts system security evaluations, audits, and reviews and develops information system security plans and recovery procedures. Supports high intensity exercises and events which often include Joint and/or Coalition participants.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Systems Administration.

  • Systems Administration Scope/Responsibilities. Provide duties and responsibilities in accordance with DoD Directive 8140.01, DoD 8140.01-M and the 17-series AF Instructions/Manuals
  • Daily Systems Administration/Maintenance. Perform daily administration and maintenance requirements for all permanent and exercise desktop and laptop computer workstations resident within each Special Access Program Facility/Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SAPF/SCIF), comprised of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Serve as a primary CSA for NIPRNet, SIPRNet and JWICS, and provide assistance to other Wing CSAs in the performance of assigned duties, as required. Maintain liaison between Wing units, outside agencies and/or respective NOC to establish and/or troubleshoot network connectivity and user account access requirements for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, CAFNet, CAB LAN, CASTS/JADE, and exercise systems; and ensure all workstations are configured, operated, maintained and disposed of in accordance with applicable policy directives and established local procedures. Develop and maintain a maintenance log for each respective workstation.
  • Maintain LAN servers, with minimum 98% network reliability for CAB; and provide account access and assistance to all authorized IS users, as necessary.
  • Video Teleconferencing. Maintain all VTC requirements and equipment, and perform troubleshooting tasks when required, and provide guidance and assistance to authorized users.
  • Working Groups, Meetings & Conferences. Support STO, CW, AF SAP and SCI interests as a member of the Wing's Communication Systems Requirements Working Group, attend monthly base-wide CSA meetings.

Information Systems Security.

  • Provide direct support and assistance in day-to-day administration of the Information Systems Security program.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to subordinate units involved in SAP activities as necessary and provide technical review and recommend engineering solutions for all networks supporting SAPs.
  • Provide ISSO support for network interconnections to include releasable classified network connections.
  • Perform all ISSO responsibilities for the DMOC collateral and SAP Battlespace enclave, unclassified development systems, and for externally managed systems that require an ISSO within the DMOC Battlespace.
  • Provide ISSO support for network interconnections to include releasable classified network connections.
  • Systems Accreditation. Establish and maintain enclave and network accreditation and special approval authorizations, as required, for all networked and stand-alone IS operating within the DMOC SAP areas/DMOC collateral Battlespace.
  • Hardware, Software and Media. Maintain continuous positive control over all IS hardware, software and magnetic media entered into, and removed from SAP areas, DMOC and the DMOC collateral Battlespace.
  • Execute audits on all DMOC and DMOC collateral Battlespace computer/information systems as applicable IAW applicable policy directives.
  • Perform and document initial training for all personnel prior to granting access to any classified IS.
  • Configuration Management (CM). Serve as a key member on each unit's CM Board and ensure CM is maintained and documented.
  • RMF - Continuous Monitoring Program. Participate in the development and/or modification of the computer environment cybersecurity program and requirements according to DoD and AF Directives, Instructions, or Manuals.

Exercise/Event Security Support.

  • Exercise/Event Security Support. Provide similar security support during exercises/events; this support is in addition to the normal workday.

Security Education and Training Awareness (SETA).

  • SETA Scope/Responsibilities. Provide direct support and assistance in day-to-day administration of the overall SETA program in accordance with applicable policy directives and local requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to implement information assurance guidance and execute ISS functions with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to perform systems administration of the overall SAP/SCI information security program with little to no supervision.
  • Skilled in development and maintenance of comprehensive SAP/SCI SSP and Profile Sheets
  • Skilled in working SAP/SCI programs in operational, test, and exercise environments.
  • Knowledge of DoD Directive 8140.01, DoD 8140.01-M, ICD 503, the JSIG, RMF and the 17-series AF Instructions/Manuals
  • Knowledge of SAP/SCI Cybersecurity measures.
  • Ability to implement RMF and DMON

Certifications:

  • DoD 8140.1 IAT Level II [Security + CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, SSCP, GICSP, GSEC]

Minimum Years' Experience:

  • 7 - 9 years of relevant experience

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
