Position Profile

Client has selected the SAP S4 HANA multi-tenant public cloud platform to serve as the General Ledger and core financial platform for its diversified businesses globally.  We are seeking an experienced SAP implementation leader for assignment in our Nashville, TN office.  The individual will serve as a senior advisor and member of the SAP Implementation Team responsible for configuration and implementation of the SAP platform in-line with the vision set forth by Finance and IT leadership. The SAP Cloud Implementation Technical Leader will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Client for the duration of the assignment.  This position will be responsible for the design, development, and ongoing operational support for the For Re general ledger platform.  The individual will work directly with finance and information technology teams to develop the foundational technology platform for finance to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reporting results, ensure implementation and support for a strong control environment, and serve as a key enabler to a lean, highly effective and efficient finance function.

The general ledger platform and capability is highly interdependent / connected with other people, process and technology implementation initiatives and will require significant coordination with key leaders and subject matter experts across the organization.  This position will require the right skills to collaborate in a fast and growing organization, ensuring that the general ledger capability is designed with flexibility and speed to implement integration of new businesses, mirroring the strategic objectives of the organization.   

Key Qualifications

The candidate will possess proven experience in scaling and developing general ledger platforms and related financial processes within a complex organization and demonstrate an ability to both lead and build the capabilities of a highly effective and cost efficient platform.  In addition, she/he will have a proven track record as an exceptionally effective operational agent. 

Additional requirements include:     

·         Experience with SAP Finance products required - S/4HANA, S/4HANA Cloud, Cloud Analytics preferred.

·         Insurance industry experience is preferred.

·         Strong experience in SAP Finance area spanning blueprinting, role definition/assignment, process identification, configuration and testing of core Finance modules including Enterprise Structure, Finance ( GL, AP, AR, AA), Controlling ( PCA, CCA, CO-PA ), FSCM, RAR etc.

·         8+ years of configuration/implementation experience in SAP Financials (minimum 2 -3 years in S/4HANA Finance), as well as an excellent finance background.

·         Minimum 3-5 full life cycle global implementations (prior experience defining/implementing worldwide solutions across multiple legal entities in a highly complex systems and project environment) including hands-on design and configuration.

·         Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud solutions preferred

·         Experience with S4 HANA Reporting tools like APF, Query Designer, AO etc. preferred

·         Experience with S4 HANA Central Finance is required

·         Experience with SAP testing tools in S/4 HANA

·         Strong business process knowledge and ability to map business requirements to standard SAP processes with minimal or no customization.

·         Experience with SAP implementation methodologies and SAP Solution Manager is preferred.

·         Formal Project Management training, Six Sigma preferred, agile methodology experience preferred

·         Good understanding and experience of modern software development methodologies.

·         Advanced understanding of software test methodologies, and experience with testing automation tools preferred.

·         Demonstrated leadership skills to lead a team and achieve results.

·         Sound analytical and problem solving skills, excellent consulting skills, demonstrated leader, self-confident.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills of complex and technical concepts. Demonstrates strong command of the English language.
