SUMMARY:
Responsible for SAP functional configuration and all aspects of SAP’s FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules, along with integration points with SRM, MM, BW, SD and HCM modules. This role assumes day-to day responsibilities for the development, support and maintenance of the SAP systems landscape which includes ECC, SRM, and BW. Responsible for supervising consultants and contractors to review requirements and provide solutions. Additional areas include process improvements and the evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expertise in General Ledger, Financial Close, Tax, A/R, A/P, Consolidation, Cost elements, Profit Centers, Orders, Fixed Assets, and other facets of the FI and CO modules.
- Execute FICO configuration, functional documentation, test plans results, system documentation and training
- Guide the business in utilizing SAP functionality to the best extent possible
- Coordinate with Business Users and Consultants in delivering and supporting SAP solutions
- Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms
- Provide SAP functional training to business users to facilitate knowledge transfer, communication and interaction
- Assist in releasing changes to production after testing and coordination of testing
- Adhere to established systems development methodology
- Prepare project related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical information, etc.) during the different stages of a project
- Modules – Financials, Business Warehouse
- Provide status reports for projects to management
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• SAP FICO and integration with MM, SRM, SD and BW
• Advanced Query Report Writing
• Extensive knowledge of General Ledger, Financial Close, Product Costing, Tax, A/R, A/P, Consolidation, Cost elements, Profit Centers, Orders, Fixed Assets, and other facets of the FI and CO modules.
• Ability to design, review, and implement methods, techniques, and procedures that improve the efficiency and maintainability of SAP systems
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences: management, vendors, and end-users
• Ability to document clearly existing and proposed systems, methods, and procedures
• Proven ability to set priorities based on corporate goals, impact to the enterprise, and functionality for users.
• Ability to collaborate in a matrix environment on complex tasks while multi-tasking and meeting short deadlines
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results
Education & Experience
- Typically, a bachelor’s degree in computer science and seven years of experience in SAP Finance and implementations
- Experience with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley) preferred
- Experience with S/4 HANA Simple Finance preferred
