Responsibilities
Join us in Serving the world by making food people love. Our team is responsible for the SAP ERP system that is the backbone of General Mills and all of our financial systems. We are embarking on the journey to transform our financial systems to meet future needs and need you to join the team that is going to help get us there. The team is responsible for ensuring operations of our core SAP Finance systems as well as the consolidation of global management reporting and financial planning. This is a role that will stretch you in new ways professionally, surround you with some of the best SAP minds in the region and allow you to make a key impact on one of the most iconic and loved Fortune 500 companies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILIIES:
- Expertise in Global Finance business process and associated application(s)- FI/CO, COPA, Account Payable, Treasury, etc.
- Lead analyst resource for business process and technology projects
- Provide first class service and support of existing processes and systems.
- Diagnose problems and restore service promptly to system users by working with system users, other members of Information
- Technology function, software vendors, and service providers.
- Carry out assigned activities during system releases, system upgrades and the application of SAP Hot Packs and system fixes.
- Complete approved projects to extend the business systems used by General Mills.
- Analyze user requirements, plan and complete approved development projects, in partnership with business users and IT.
- Connect with cross-functional peers in Finance and others to ensure end to end solution optimization
- Implement new applications or system functionality in support of General Mills Order to Cash (OTC) and/or Procure to Pay (PTP) strategy. These projects may include “rollouts” of SAP to new locations, and supporting start-up of new customer service facilities, plants, co-packers, and outside warehouses.
- Participate in approved projects or business initiatives to achieve greater business process efficiencies.
- Prepare SAP training materials.
- Train key users and implement sustainable training strategies in the Business Units.
- Mentor others to learn new skills and deepen their knowledge of systems and processes.
- Participate in other company initiatives as required in support of business strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 + years of relevant experience
- Broad technical expertise (strong configuration skills) in SAP
- Industry-relevant business process experience in Finance or related areas.
- Appreciation of overall SAP software architecture.
- Capable of providing support of SAP modules.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Specific work in SAP Finance modules: (FI/CO), Accounts Payable (AP), Transportation (TM), Treasury
- SAP Analyst or ABAP development experience
- Experience working in or with virtual teams and exposure to an International business environment.
- Proven project experience using best practices and standard development and support processes.
- Flexibility is needed on hours of work e.g. for occasional system critical support or major project implementations.
- Demonstrates an ability to partner with the business and design technical solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Self motivated, strong bias for action and good sense of curiosity to always be learning and growing in skillset and knowledge.
