Job description

The “act! solution” is the backbone IT system for Atlas Copco customer centers in many European countries and serving around 4,000 users as a platform for the execution of core business processes in Logistics, Sales, Service and Finance. In the course of 2018, “act!” will take a first step into the NASA region. In this context, the act! Support team will strengthen its presence in the region and is looking for an SAP FI/CO Functional Analyst. The position reports to the act! Support FI/CO Manager.

The act! Support FI/CO Functional Analyst will be in charge of the following tasks:

  • Establish a close working relationship with Finance Business Key Users (BKUs) and Customer Center Management to perform regular temperature checks and ultimately ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Serve as an escalation point for Finance BKUs and Customer Center Management (primarily in NASA) to facilitate resolution of complex or long-pending issues
  • Ensure smooth monthly closing with user support, general monitoring of deadlines, prioritization of problem solving and tracking of periodic jobs in the SAP system
  • Monitor the service delivery of Atlas Copco’s external support partner in FI/CO with regards to service levels and quality-related KPIs
  • 3rd Level Incident and Problem management of local/legal issues or where high proximity to Customer Centers is advantageous.
  • Get a broad understanding of the Finance applications and modules in “act!”, their up-/downstream processes and optimize the role of FI/CO in an end-to-end support model
  • Continuous improvement of the “act! solution”, of the Support service delivery and procedures in FI/CO as well as act! Support IT Service Management (ITSM) processes overall.

    Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years in an FI/CO functional analyst or consultant role, ideally with support experience
  • Profound knowledge of SAP financial and controlling modules: General ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset accounting, profitability analysis and cost center accounting. Additional knowledge of revenue recognition, new general ledger, substitutions and derivation logic is required.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end business processes and SAP integration points in Sales, Service and ideally Projects.
  • Knowledge of local/legal requirements in the US, Canada or other counties of NASA region are a plus
  • Overall good understanding of SAP and underlying technologies is a plus, e.g. the ability to read and analyze ABAP programs
  • Experience from working in multinational, multicultural companies
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus

    Education

    University Graduate in Economics / Commerce / Accounting or comparable, proven on-the-job experience
