Located in Calvert, 35 miles north of Mobile, Alabama, our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades in the North America market. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Diagnose problems and develop and implement solutions in SAP APO (DP, SNP, PPDS, GATP & CIF) or SAP SD/AR  
  • Effectively understand relevant business processes so that they can be modeled in internal systems
  • Perform highly complex and demanding tasks dealing with the analysis and design of solutions serving business line and functional units

ACCOUNTABILITIES:      

  • Provides necessary coordination, facilitating interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units
  • Provides guidance to business and functional units in developing tests and training plans and materials
  • Carries out detailed system design and writes specs for development
  • Specifies and applies testing and quality monitoring procedures
  • Provides day-to-day user support, as well as drives improved user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and systems solutions    
  • Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect
  • Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 14001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 17025:2017 

EDUCATION & ACCREDITATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or Computer Science or combination of post-secondary education and related experience

KNOWLEDGE:   

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP configuration and/or implementation
  • Detailed understanding in one of the following SAP component Area’s SAP APO (DP, SNP, PPDS, GATP & CIF) or SAP SD & AR with integration to other modules like PP, MM, and FI/CO
  • Experience with SAP HANA, SAP BOBJ, and SAP Variant Configuration is a plus
  • Familiarity with ECC and/or SCM architecture
  • Knowledge of SAP maintenance tools   

SKILLS: 

  • At least one full lifecycle implementation of SAP
  • Should have demonstrated knowledge about manufacturing processes in a Steel producer/processor industry or similar manufacturing environment
  • Project management skills (project plan development and tracking, issue resolution, risk mitigation, metrics development and tracking)
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism
  • Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama

HOURS OF WORK:

  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
