Managers notes:

A north Cincy, OH client is seeking an SAP Functional Analyst-Level 3-EDI to support the SAP and non-SAP EDI environment.  This is not a mapping position, as this is a functional position so the candidate needs to know SAP, IDocs, understand OTC process, and RNP (need to know EDI standards).  The company is open to various skill levels.  For Level 3, they will look for leadership qualities – something that is lacking a bit on the current team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP EDI customer and vendor support
  • Minimum 2 years of experience creating a testing strategy
  • Experience communicating detailed technical and functional specifications
  • Experience with EDI documents 850 (Purchase Order), 855 (Order Acknowledgement), 856 (Advance Shipping Notification), and 810 (Invoice)

Managers notes:

  • Implementing new customers
  • Missing some functionality, building POs, order acknowledgements (SAP)
  • No systematic process around invoice rejection, so building that functionality
  • Team is currently 4 EDI and total team is 11-12 counting the OTC/Commissions
  • This is functional position, we do not do the mapping (EDI and SAP, need to understand all EDI formats (legacy and SAP)
  • Need to know SAP, IDocs, understand OTC process, RNP (need to know EDI standards), 3rd party will do EXACTLY what we tell them to do
  • Not sure of the future with mapping (considering if we stay with 3rd party or internalize)
  • In the future, may have opportunity to cross-train with OTC team as we move away from legacy and could learn and get involved in the OTC area
  • Will work with business lot of the day and translate those needs to the 3rd party vendor
  • For Level 3, will look for leadership qualities – something that is lacking a bit on the current team
