SAP Database and Basis Administrator

We need an experienced back end developer who will use their passion to guide a development team to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. This is an opportunity to help your customer overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like SQL, Oracle and SAP HANA alongside open source frameworks and tools. By creating a custom site with consistent performance and scalability, you’ll directly impact Department of Energy by managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, developing of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.  Develop resilient and responsive APIs that Front End developers and other systems can use to access server-side logic. Work autonomously to come up with creative solutions and implement relevant change. Working with SAP BASIS, API Development, design, Maintenance and administration of databases, including mentoring, positive code reviews, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. You Have:

-Experience with databases to provide high availability and monitor databases for optimal performance and experience with database downtime and manage parameters to provide efficient response time

-Experience with database health and security

-Knowledge of system administration duties as a back-up to a primary systems administrator

-Ability to administer and maintain SQL, ORACLE, and SAP HANA databases

-Ability to install database upgrades and patches and provide timely updates to eliminate and mitigate identified database vulnerabilities

-Ability to create user accounts and assign security rights

-Ability to provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution for database issues and perform configuration, migration, and other implementations, as required

-Ability to perform periodic tests to ensure availability, efficient performance, and proper security and perform SAP Basis Administration duties as a back-up to a primary SAP basis administrator

-BA or BS degree required
