Roles and Responsibilities

Since 1956 Madix, Inc. has been a leader in retail store fixture innovation. We utilize SAP as the foundation of business systems supporting our manufacturing processes. Candidates for this role will be expected to have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills required for problem resolution in the SAP application, interface and conversion areas. The ability to clearly communicate and work in personal or team settings is also required.

The SAP SD/WM Functional Data Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing solutions, supporting production applications and the review and recommendation of new applications. This position will leverage SAP to support Sales and Distribution, and Warehouse Management best practices within the SAP landscape. This is a hands-on role that will execute SD and WM configuration, functional documentation, developing system requirements, business process design, all SD related testing, integration testing, system documentation and training including training materials and support procedures.  This position will office in Goodwater, AL or Eclectic, AL and report to the SAP Production Support Manager. Significant travel between the two Alabama plants (30 miles apart) will be required.  Minimal travel to Texas is anticipated.

• Provide business analysis and process redesign expertise in SAP SD functionality

• SAP configuration, implementation and support including Sales Order Processing, and optimized Picking, Inventory and Warehouse, Billing, Customer and Product Hierarchies, Logistics Execution, Variant Configurator (VC), Credit and Risk Management, Output Types configuration/ setup, EDI design and maintenance, Export Documentation and FI/CO postings

• Understand the integration points within ECC environment including but not limited to SD, VC, QM, WM, FI, MM, as well as external systems

• Configure SAP functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design

• Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows as they relate to the SD/WM components of SAP

• Support peripheral systems and interfaces related to the Sales and Distribution and Warehouse Management function

• Design and execute test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet business objectives

• Develop business relationships to ensure successful implementation and support project efforts

• Collaborate cross-functionally with representatives throughout the company

• Participate in afterhours IS support rotation

• Resolve incidents across the SAP platform

• Must have flexible after-hours availability for implementation and deployment tasks

• Provide primary end user support and solutions for the SAP SD/WM module and user community. This includes troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution of end user problems as well as performing routine system maintenance checks and corrective actions
