Job Title: Editor-in-Chief
Within SAP Corporate Marketing, we are constantly striving to bring novel insights to customers, prospects, and the SAP ecosystem at large. To further our mission, we are seeking a seasoned Editor-in-Chief to lead the editorial team responsible for all editorial functions for SAP's content hub. The SAP content hub is an integrated digital experience for storytelling on sap.com that answers key audience questions across select stages of the customer journey; and incorporating a wide range of content, including brand journalism, original research, explainers, blog content, guides, use cases, customer stories, video, and podcasts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in brand journalism, specifically editorial direction, staff management, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the editorial team, setting clear goals, and ensuring they are met.

Develop, implement, and monitor long-term and short-term progress in alignment with the company's vision and goals.

Ensure editorial standards are set and met for all forms of content.

Spearhead the development, review, and finalization of all content for release, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards, provide valuable insights, and engages customers along the way.

Collaborate with all stakeholder groups, building relationships, managing expectations, and driving progress.

Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of dedicated editors and writers, fostering a collaborative and stimulating work environment.

Maintain expert knowledge of industry trends to ensure the publication's content remains relevant and competitive.

Establish and maintain relationships with internal SAP industry thought leaders and external partners for collaboration opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, or a related field. A master's degree will be highly advantageous.

A minimum of eight years of leadership experience in editing roles, preferably in business or tech publications.

A demonstrated ability to develop, execute and deliver on plans for systematically growing the number of stories produced as well as improving their quality.

Experience publishing content in an integrated digital marketing ecosystem.

The ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.

Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Ability to form connections with internal and external partners and maintain friendly, positive, and productive relationships.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including working with internal marketing groups that have differing goals and experience.

A love for storytelling and an understanding of what makes a great story.

An innate curiosity to dive deeper, to find the story angles others have missed and attract and hold the attention of our target audience of business executives.

Excellent practical understanding of video, podcast, and other media production.

Proven experience in creating compelling content strategies aligned with business goals.
