Our client has an immediate need for an SAP BW Developer to join their team as a full-time salaried employee.

JOB SUMMARY

The SAP BW Analyst is primarily responsible for the design, build, test and implementation of systems that enable the business community to achieve their goals and objectives. This position works directly with analysts and business users to translate functional requirements into technical specifications, which are further utilized to facilitate the full implementation life cycle. As a key member of the BW Team, the Analyst will have the opportunity to learn many aspects of the business as well as the SAP data warehousing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Activities include:

• Systems analysis and design
• Configuration, coding, data modeling and reporting writing using SAP BEx and BObj tools
• Identifying gaps and working with the business in developing functional specs
• Testing and evaluation of new BW functionality
• Production support of existing BW functionality
• Providing on-call support on a rotating basis
• Business process analysis, documentation and presentation
• Interacting with users from various functional areas (order management, supply chain, finance, etc.)
• Translating end-user requirements into detailed specifications
• Interaction with technical resources to define technical requirements
• Developing complete functional requirements specification, including business impact and ROI
• Coordinating and assisting in development and execution of system conversions
• Developing procedures, processes and guidelines that are efficient and focused on the quality of the process or end-state deliverable
• Developing and driving the implementation of BW best practices and standards for the team
• Developing, creating, enhancing, monitoring and scheduling (where appropriate) BW 7.x objects

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in management information systems, computer science and/or business
• Experience in Business, specifically in processes around wholesale distribution and retail
• 5 - 7 years of experience in Business analysis and reporting
• Experience working with end-users to translate business requirements into systems specifications
• Experience in SAP BW 7.x development, including strong knowledge of BW Administrator Workbench , modeling, Open Hub, APD, ABAP Programming, reporting writing and publishing to SAP Portal
• Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI, Analysis for Office, Business Objects WebI and Design Studio tools, required
• Experience with SAP ECC module extractors SD, MM, FI, CO-PA
• Experience with BW Security, especially use of authorization objects and analysis authorizations for report writing
• Experience with BW on HANA and HANA information view (Calculation, Attribute and Analytic Views), required
• Experience in SAP BPC, Budgeting, Planning, Consolidation and Reporting
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Web Application Designer, Enterprise Portal iViews, Content Management, Worksets and Portal integration with BW and BOBJ Launchpad, desired
• Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes and interact with all levels of the organization
• Excellent analytical skills
• Willingness and ability to travel as required
