SAP Business Analyst

The Regional Water Authority is seeking a SAP Business Analyst.  This position is involved in the design and implementation of configurable technology enabled business solutions.  The incumbent translates end-user system requirements into system design and solutions, effectively collaborating with business partners, sponsors, executives, users and technical resources.   

The successful candidate will:  define business and system strategies, develop system requirements, design, prototype, test, and assist with training, and support procedures and implementations; participate in the business process development and configuration in relevant SAP modules and provide operational support by resolving system issues and implementing approved enhancements; work closely with the business, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify requirements and seek opportunities that will improve business processes and support critical business strategies; recommend and implement “best practices” solutions, monitoring and managing user requests; serve as a resource to the technical teams and BASIS Administrators in designing, configuring and implementing a SAP system which supports the company’s business and operational needs; analyze and evaluate business requirements of varying complexity; maintain strong working knowledge of SAP technical concepts; collaborate with user areas regarding the design of systems and/or business analysis design concepts; demonstrate proficiency in the applied use of systems and process analysis tools; maintain an understanding of integration amongst core SAP modules and of all parameters affecting and interfacing with the SAP system; facilitate interactive design and functional specification sessions; provide detailed system design specifications; perform configuration changes and/or prepare design specifications; support reporting requirements in conjunction with user areas; participate in the design and development of the Master Data Management strategy; establish processes to ensure accurate and timely flow of information related to the processing of Master Data; provide instruction and guidance to others on use of Master Data records and files; coordinate testing of changes to systems, including the development and maintenance of test cases and test result management; coordinate business sign-off for changes and authorize SAP changes to production.
