STIHL Inc. has an immediate opening for an expert to provide support for UNIX computer systems environment and R3 basis/DBA support.  Ensure that systems have adequate security safeguards implemented.  Provide on call support outside normal business hours.

Position Responsibilities:

• Recommend changes to system operational procedures to improve productivity or improve security.
• Provide support for UNIX, Oracle Microsoft SQL and SAP R3 release upgrade planning and implementation. 
• Maintain operational documentation for the UNIX, Oracle, Microsoft SQL and SAP R3 systems.
• Provide support for the SAP R3 Correction and Transport process and user authorizations.
• Monitor UNIX system performance, perform performance problem determination and implement performance tuning changes.
• Participate in UNIX system hardware and software planning.  
• Coordinate and resolve UNIX and R3 basis issues with the Stihl Germany R3 tea              
• Interface with users and functional analyst to resolve problems with UNIX, Oracle, Microsoft SQL or the SAP R3 environment.
• Maintain and present status of projects in the UNIX, Oracle, Microsoft SQL and SAP R3 basis areas.
• Maintain currency in technical skills by attending training classes and seminars as needed.
