SAP Basis Administrator
BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Position is responsible for the solution construction, implementation and systems integration, delivering high quality solutions to the Company in response to varying business requirements. Tasks performed include integrating hardware, software, and network solutions. Identifying project requirements, developing solution delivery, which may include coordination of vendors and subcontractors.
The SAP Basis Administrator assists in delivery of high quality solutions to the Company in response to specific business requirements. Develops technical skills and absorbs detail oriented knowledge quickly. Performs assigned technical tasks including study, analysis, programming, product installation.
The SAP Basis Administrator must possess product, technology, or industry-related specialized skills and works with proposals, requirements, designs, implementations and production systems environments.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
Work independently to generate technical solutions, involving technology, methodology, processes, tools and solution components. Performs assigned technical tasks including study, analysis, programming, product installation. May be asked to research special topics as part of team responsibilities.
Engaged as independent IT detail oriented who advises others on tools, technology and methodology related to the design and development of IT solutions. Develops and provides specialized written and verbal communications to end users, peers, and support personnel.
Provides analytical support necessary to develop and implement solutions for small to medium size projects, or components of larger projects.
Responsible for leading SAP Basis related work on major projects, including prioritizing which work should be done, assigning team members to perform work, assists in the balancing of technical assignments with team members’ skills to mitigate risk on the project and evaluating team members’ performance.
Leads IT activities related to SAP Basis including participating in development of proposals and development of reports. Regularly participates in overall departmental program planning in the areas of cost, schedule and technical risk.
Provides recommendations to improve department’s operational, technical, and end user satisfaction results. Identifies potential upstream and downstream impacts and translates business requirements into computer requirements. Is responsible for identifying new technical solution opportunities.
