AIX/DB2 with SAP Basis Knowledge:

Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

Should be able to act as a team lead for and liaison between basis resource in offshore and at client site. Should have excellent verbal and written communication.
Should be able to report on performamnce and SLA statistics.
Applying SAP patches and should have understanding of SAP Basis architecture ((i.e. must have experience SAP ERP instances which were installed on AIX/DB2)
Troubleshooting and performance management/monitoring
OS/DB migration
Disaster recovery of systems (setting up high availability, like active passive database and/or HADR. Designing & implementing Disaster Recovery for DB2 database for SAP)
Able to create presentation for senior management

Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)

Should have minimum 6-8 years of experience working on SAP landscapes on AIX/DB2 platform
3-5 years of experience on Unix/DB2 databases including backup, recovery and DR setups.
SAP Basis load balancing SAP Java servers, web servers, reverse-proxy and single-sign-on Experience with SICF services Web dispatcher URL filter
Architecture design
Multiple client experience with large scale complex (global) systems
Experience installing and upgrading OS/DB's
Excellent communication skills

Travel: This position requires someone who can travel at least 80%. Preferred location is East coast or Midwest.
