SAP AIF Consultant
12+ month contract
Remote, but must be local to DFW area 

Our client is looking for a SAP Consultant.  This department, Center of Excellence (CoE) is looking for a consultant to support and enhance business use of the new ERP system (SAP) in order to fully leverage the benefits of the new system.  The primary objectives of this role will be to monitor and resolve SAP AIF errors, assist customers (client plants) with SAP error research/resolution, and track and help resolve COGI (Controlling Goods Issued) transaction errors within SAP.
To excel in this role, a candidate will have a strong technical understanding of SAP CO (Controlling) and PP (Production Planning) modules in order to root cause issues in back-end SAP tables and processes.
In addition, the person selected for this role will need to work collaboratively with a range of business end users, IT groups, and other members of the CoE Services team.  This will require good communication skills, with the ability to “translate” business terms and requirements into technical terms and requirements for IT.
 
Key Responsibilities
(80%) Monitor SAP AIF interfaces for errors and provide support for business customers.  Focus is on areas that support integration between our legacy production systems and SAP production planning system:
Process and monitor SAP AIF Errors for assigned interfaces on a daily basis.
Investigate and troubleshoot errors to determine path for resolution
Coordinate error resolution with customers at HQ and plants and/or technical resources
Create and monitor service tickets as needed to resolve errors
Support error clearing and readiness for month end close
Validate new Fiscal Year & Model Year data setup in preparation for changeover
Assist business users to close business process knowledge gaps that contribute to AIF errors
Manage the creation and maintenance of supporting documentation
 
(20%) Monitor and assist business customers at plants to help resolve COGI transaction errors.  
Monitor and provide regular metrics of COGI errors to business users
Resolve unit (engine/transmission) COGI errors by monthly accounting close
Coordinate resolution of raw material COGI errors by plant for monthly accounting close
When required, coordinate system inventory movements with IT to resolve errors
Coordinate changes to BOM or other source data that are causing errors
Assist with training to business users to close business process knowledge gaps that contribute to COGI errors
 
Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or related areas
SAP implementation & production support experience with focus on Controlling/Cost Accounting (CO) and Production Planning (PP) modules
Experience monitoring and resolving SAP interface errors through AIF
Experience working on a cross-functional team with IT, Project, and Business groups
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussion between technical and business resources
Work experience in large scale, international business or organization
