Our customer is looking to do a contract to hire role for a senior ABAP resource to join their existing SAP team. Will sponsor H1 candidates.
The Senior Software Developer roles will be a part of a diverse team which is responsible for delivering simple to complex solutions and programs that implement and enhance the current business processes in SAP. These Senior Software Developer roles will be involved in various phases of a life cycle implementation which include design, development, building prototypes, developing and testing RICEFW objects, cut over activites user training and post Go-Live Support.
These Senior Software Developer roles will work closely with the Functional Teams and Business Users to gather requirements, design, and develop solutions in SAP. These roles will convert high level requirements into designs and solutions in SAP. These roles will also participate in demonstrating the development units to the User Groups.
These roles may work in a challenging and fast paced Agile environment.
Our customer has Senior Software Developers to support the areas of:
- Human Capital Management (HCM)
- Finance (FIN)
- Order to Cash (OTC)
- Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM)
- Procure to Pay (PTP)
Day to day:
- Translate high level functional requirements provided by the functional teams into technical requirements in a clear manner that can be easily comprehended by other developers.
- Gather requirements for new development objects from business users and convert them into technical requirements.
- Lead the development and delivery of RICEFW objects in assigned process area in SAP.
- Design and develop complex solutions and RICEFW objects in assigned process area in SAP.
- Provide ABAP support by fixing or enhancing solutions in SAP including custom and standard programs.
- Facilitate and participate in user demos of custom development units.
- Design and deliver technical units using the Agile development model.
- Tune the solutions and objects for performance in assigned process area of SAP.
- Troubleshoot inbound and outbound interfaces.
- Provide technical assistance to the process teams in debugging functional issues as needed.
- Work with external vendors and internal parties to troubleshoot interfaces to fix data issues.
- Design and develop comprehensive and thorough test cases for the development unit.
- Unit test and debug new program changes for all types of development objects.
- Facilitate integration testing of various RICEFW objects.
- Monitor and facilitate defect resolution of RICEFW objects in HP Quality Center.
- Facilitate the transport of various objects and solutions across the SAP Landscape.
- Facilitate and participate in cut over activities during the Go-Live Phase.
- Provide day-to-day, occasional after hours and on-call application support as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information; adhere to company security policies. Adhere to Dart's IT software development and quality standards.
- Assist the Development Lead by providing effort estimates for the assigned project/support tasks and also report any changes to the estimates.
- Organize, control, and direct work assignments for self and team members.
- Maintain technical expertise, keeping current with evolving processes, systems, and technologies and sharing that knowledge with colleagues and IT management.
- Mentor and coach other team members as applicable.
-Strong knowledge and experience in the development lifecycle of RICEFW objects.-Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good understanding of SAP workflow engine and how it interfaces and integrates with SAP core application
-Strong knowledge of RF apps, HTML rendering, and integration with ECC via ITS
-Strong knowledge of Adobe Forms (static mandatory), IDOC,EDI-ALE interface technologies
-Customer service orientation
-Additional work hours as required, including weekends
-Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
-Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently
