SAP ABAP Developer

As an ABAP developer, you will assist in the complete software development lifecycle from design and coding to the implementation and support of SAP systems and their integrations into non-SAP systems. The candidate will be expected to collaborate with functional SAP analysts and our business areas to ensure business requirements are captured, developed, and achieved through technically-efficient solutions. The candidate will work directly on SAP implementations into our business areas as well as non-SAP systems that interact with our customers.

§  Develops code to extend/modify existing SAP functionality, and/or transform data and processes from legacy systems into SAP.

§  Utilizes skills to accomplish all phases of application development for a given platform; continually works to increase the rate of completion, reliability, and complexity of development capabilities.

§  Adheres to department conventions and standards to develop applications and coding techniques that are easily understood and followed.

§  Performs testing of applications at system and unit levels.

§  Responsible for maintenance tasks and emergency calls as needed.

§  Works with senior developers, analysts, and client personnel to understand business processes and the relationship between these processes and their associated computer systems.

§  Produces technical documentation as assigned.
