JOB DESCRIPTION

This position includes the responsibility for SAP applications, interfaces, and programs including Material Management, Sales & Distribution, and other components of SAP as well as understanding the related business functions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Transform Business requests into application requirements and technical designs followed by ABAP development, debugging, testing, approvals, and deployment to production systems.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of business processes in the area(s) of assignment, the operations of the Tennessee plant, and a general understanding of the GRP businesses.
  • Responsible for the configuration, development, and maintenance of SAP applications, interfaces, and programs.
  • Provide support and guidance for business users of the applications in assigned area(s) of responsibility. Includes working as part of team to address "on-call" situations such as loss of functionality or emergency break-fix scenarios.
  • Participate across multiple work streams, including Daily Management, Business users support, and Compliance Testing.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years' minimum experience in a qualified IT positon (SAP ABAP Programming and SAP Configuration position)
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. ยง730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Qualified candidate must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the relevant government agency. Business demands may require employer to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of SAP ABAP Programming experience
  • Development of Reports using ALV function modules, ALV object-oriented programming, classical and interactive reports.
  • Use of ABAP Workbench tools; data dictionary, function builder, class builder, screen painter, etc.
  • Development of Forms such as SAP Scripts and Smart Forms.
  • Dialog programming; develop modules using screen designer, table controls, GUI status, custom controls, ALV tree, docking container, viewers, etc.
  • Expert in the ABAP programming language; internal tables, field symbols and assignments, Open SQL, events, calls and submits, logical unit of work, locking and enqueuing, update tasks, debugging, etc.
  • Understanding and use of User Exits, Enhancements, SQL Trace, Runtime Analysis, BDC, BAPI and BADI.
  • Knowledge of XML, webservices IFC/ICM/ITS, security authorizations and profiles.
  • Experience with ECC6 and the Customer, Sales, Deliveries, Invoicing, Purchasing, Receipts, Vendors and Material modules.
  • Project Management and team leadership experience
