We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Lead Product Owner for one of our critical business units to lead major initiatives within our SAP back office team. What you'll do
As an Infrastructure Lead Product Owner, you'll provide National Grid Basis support. You'll also obtain and retain in-house Basis knowledge. Key responsibilities include the following:
- Perform a variety of tasks. Provide technical support on SAP Basis and interfacing systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for systems configuration, design and implementation and performance monitoring as required.
- Design and develop SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs.
- Responsible for the installation, upgrade and support of all components of the SAP and interfacing systems infrastructure.
- Contribute to the architecture design of the SAP and interfacing systems.
- Ensure all projects (SAP based and interfacing) systems are installed and operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment. This includes working with the hosting, infrastructure, functional and application vendors on configuration and maintenance of network, high availability and disaster recover solutions.
- Complete project based work keeping a focus on hitting key project milestones.
- Ensure the adherence of standards and help develop and administer standards.
- Maintain daily contact with the SAP Basis manager regarding work progress.
- Complete quality documentation for the SAP environments.
- Liaise with the functional SAP experts and business teams in order to assist with the ongoing functional support of SAP and interfacing systems.
- Provide support for other application and services as requested by the Basis manager.
- Contribute as possible where the area is outside of the job holder's technical expertise.
- Support and provide guidance to in-house and vendor support teams. Provide second/third line technical support.
- Build, manage and maintain effective relationships with all IS, BPS, etc. groups, third party suppliers and business teams.
- Perform system readiness and validation checks.
- Create and implement technical processes and procedures as required.
- Work very closely with multiple 3rd Party Vendors to scope, design and deliver environments.
- Work very closely with Project Managers to gather requirements and environment specifications.
- Interface with all parties to troubleshoot and resolve environment issues.
- Perform system performance monitoring and tuning as required.
- Successfully deliver systems on time.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience implementing and supporting SAP ECC with specialism in one or more components such as ECC, BI, Business Objects, PI, Portal, SRM, S/4 HANA.
- Knowledge of Red Hat Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, database administration (Oracle, SQL Server), network administration and SAN administration, Change Management.
- Ability to introduce technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance.
- Ability and willingness to document processes and procedures for future use and knowledge transfer.

Salary
$115,000 - $162,000 a year
Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
