The Project Manager for SAP Ariba PMO, NA Consulting will report to the VP Ariba PMO, SAP NA Consulting.
This position can be virtual anywhere within the U.S.
The Ariba Project Managerisresponsible for managing and delivering strategic and complex SAP Procurement programs which may combine one or more upstream and/or downstream SAP Ariba product solutions or may include Fieldglass and are typically large in scale, high-risk, and span organizational boundaries including multiple business units and service partners/vendors.The Project Manager will provide effective project oversight and project reviews to drive project success and will reinforce the SAP Ariba knowledge management through the communication of lessons learned and project management best practices development.The personhasstrong business acumen, strong understanding of the SaaS software deployment lifecycle, demonstrated leadership, and personal skills for successful delivery of SAP ISM solutions.
**Responsibilities and Tasks:**
+ Manage one or multiple projects or initiatives throughout various stages of the project life cycle.
+ Responsible for overall project success: quality, cost, time and scope.
+ Serve as the primary project governance point of contact for external stakeholders and SAP internal team.
+ Prepare integrated project management plan in conjunction with project sponsor/customer and report on deliverables, outputs and progress against this plan.
+ Build, maintain and control the project schedule (Gantt chart) including key dates, milestones, deliverables, risks and dependencies.
+ Manage the project budget and measure progress and completion forecasts ensuring that variances are reported and approved as necessary.
+ Manage project scope to ensure that requirements are analyzed, documented and agreed and the impact of any change is formally assessed, evaluated and approved via the project change control process.
+ Drive customer communication plan including meeting cadence, project communication cadence, and change management plans.
+ Monitor and control project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
+ Demonstrate leadership to diagnose and overcome barriers to project progress.
+ Resolve internal and external team conflict to ensure adherence to project schedule and budget.
+ Serve as liaison to other SAP stakeholders during customer project escalations.
+ Responsible for project close-out and documentation.
+ Assist with customer go-live communication and gaining client references.
+ 6-8 years of project management experience implementing complex, large scale, high risk, strategic projects.
+ Demonstrated experience managing cross functional teams in matrixed environments.
+ Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as, project charter, project management plan, status reports, project timesheets, communications plan, budget and schedule, within the SAP Activate methodology.
+ Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while driving projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements
+ Strong understanding of SaaS software deployments and cloud transformation
+ Open minded with exceptional negotiations skills
+ Achievement orientation, creative thinking and enthusiasm
+ Expert-level knowledge of MS Office tools, in particular MS Project and Excel
+ Strong verbal and written English
+ Experience with Agile development methodologies
+ Certified Scrum Master a plus
+ PMP certification a plus
+ Travel (50-80%)
