GENERAL FUNCTION
The Lead SAP FICO Analyst will be point of contact for all SAP Finance related matters. This includes functional analysis of new business requirements, transactional issues, system enhancements, finance master data and overall support and maintenance of the SAP finance stream.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works as part of the SAP ERP team accountable for resolving SAP issues, change requests, enhancements raised via the helpdesk or other through the other possible channels.
- Ability to quickly diagnose, performs root cause analysis, and resolve production issues. Ability to analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems.
- Executing SAP FI-CO projects by defining requirements, define functional specifications, working with IT in realizing the change, and working with finance users in testing, training and rolling out of changes
- Ability to work in highly customized global system environment
- Understands delivery within a fixed time/effort model and able to operate effectively within those constraints
- Ability to work under own initiative and under tight time pressures - planning, prioritizing and controlling own workload
- Coordinates with other partners across IT (on site) as well as off-shore teams to manage enhancements and provide quality support
- Collaborate directly with finance business groups to resolve any finance related issues and develop recommendations/options to the group on how to best address/resolve issues
- Assist the Finance team during the month end close processes and assist them with any issues with posting financial entries in the SAP ECC system
- Ability and flexibility to work as needed during project go live or during period close activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 8+ years of SAP finance functional experience required
- Minimum 1-2-year experience leading SAP finance related efforts to scope and deploy
- Bachelor’s Degree required in information systems, finance, engineering or business streams
- Expert level knowledge on SAP FICO functionalities including configuration of the system
- Proficient understanding of SAP finance solutions including
- GL, (including New GL Functionality)
- Asset Accounting,
- Accounts Payables,
- Accounts Receivables including customer billing and customer payments
- Financial Organizational Structures and Master Data,
- Controlling functions,
- Internal and External Financial Management Reporting
- Financial supply chain module (FSCM)
- Bank/ACH transfers and credit card integration
- Third party tax software services integrations with SAP like VERTEX or other tools
- Validations/ Substitutions
- Profit center and cost center accounting
- Profitability Analysis
- Business process engineering expertise
- Expert level knowledge of SAP Finance integration with SD/MM modules
- Experience with financial reporting using Special purpose ledger
- 25% travel in addition to monthly on call rotation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- SAP ECC 6.0 or higher experience
- SAP associate level certification or above
- SAP AFS/FMS or S4 fashion experience
- Global SAP experience – Implementation and support in more than one of the following locations: USA, Canada, Asian and Oceania/South Pacific
- High level understanding of ABAP programming
- ABAP Debugging experience
- Experience with Hyperion financial reporting tools
